' Doyle. Mason or Le Fondre? '

Sat Feb 28, 2015 7:26 pm

Very early days granted but in a side that creates very little chances am not sure what benefit bringing in Doyle will have over Mason who can finish or the recently loaned out le fondre who did have the same work ethic as we are currently seeing from Doyle. As a long term buy it could be great if we can create the chances. :bluescarf:

Mason and Doyle...

Little movement up front, no real direct pace out wide.

But, we wonder why we don't score

Eoin Doyle.

I think Doyle needs time to adjust. In terms of movement and skill Mason used to be very good . Alf just got worse and worse and kept flirting really good chances. Maybe he'll return from Bolton a more confident player and then we'll train it out of him. Kennedy is already losing his confidence.

Train it out of him???? Kennedy had one average game and is losing his confidence, it's actually laughable.

would help if jones and others actually put ball at doyle's feet> 99% of time hes chasing ball away from goal or ball is put where hes never going to reach it! as he actually been given 1 good chance to score by a team mate?? :o :old:

Agreed, I see no fault with Doyle at the moment, just a team who can't give him the service he needs

He's chasing flick on after flick on and is having the same problem as ALF. Until our midfield push further up the field and can manage a pass to feet whoever we play upfront will struggle

For me Le Fondre has the class over the other two while Doyle can obviously score goals at a lower level. Mason is not an out & out striker like the other two are IMO.
However, it's all about service and in our case - lack of.
Hit the balls down the channels (as in park football) & generally poor crosses from even poorer angles. No creative play around the box whatsoever.

We had several creative moves yesterday but no end ball worthy of move! Which is the problem and only kennedy put in decent crosses but no one made move into dangerous areas, Jones up until Witt's going off was hardly interested in game, but as the rest of team started battling so he did and he looked dangerous! :old:

My biggest worry is that the longer he goes without scoring the more psychological pressure will be on him. We need him to have a penalty or something with whitts out of the team
