' TOO LITTLE TOO LATE '

So the floodgates didn't open after our win against Wigan but in truth I never believed before the game that would be the case, Wolves were coming here full of confidence and I honestly thought we would lose and didn't expect it to be as tight as it turned out to be.

The first quarter was positive from City and it was good to see us on the front foot and most of the football was played in the opponents half.

The obvious trouble with us at present is our lack of creativity and opening up defences but we are looking far more tighter at the back and it is giving us something to build from, i believe that Paul Trollope has had an influence on our tactics and we are seeing the benefits of having experience alongside Russell Slade who was cutting a forlorn figure in the technical area before the head coach came in.

It was disappointing to lose our attacking play after Wolves had hit us on the counter and scored, we seemed to have lost belief and direction after conceding.

After Whittingham was sent off, and there is no argument that it was the correct decision, Slade left it a few minutes then was brave by putting a second striker up top with Kenwyne Jones and somehow City managed to create more openings for an equaliser than we did when we had eleven players on the pitch.

We came close on a couple of occasions but it was too little too late unfortunately but why was that urgency that was there at the beginning and end not there throughout the game ?

I am going to Rotherham on Tuesday hopeful of a positive result, it will be interesting to see who takes Whittingham's place, I would like to see Ralls given the opportunity but suspect Adeyemi will get the nod.

How was it the correct decision to sent whitts off when the Wolverhampton player got away with a far worse tackle minutes earlier

I didn't say the Wolves player deserved to stay on, did I ?

Going nowhere under Slade.

Lucky that we picked enough points up early on to stay up.

The Wolves player should have had a second yellow without dought, but unfortunately Whitts deserved his second aswell.
Two wrongs don't make a right.

Spot on. The ref made an appealing decision not to red card the Wolves player prior and he knew it. The standard of reffing in the PL and div 2 is atrocious.

A bit harsh that Ned.

Remember when Slade first came here we got 3 home wins under the belt before it started going wrong.

The reason it started going wrong was because we had to get rid of players. Ever work in a place where redundancy is the talk. Does not make for a pleasant environment.

Anyway things are starting to settle down now, survival is looking a bit better and the manager has some of his own players in now. So now is the time to start judging him.

Me and you don't agree on much but anyone that thinks the players weren't effected by what went on between end of October and end of January has clearly nt worked in that sort of environment

And yes I know they earn multi million pounds but that doesn't matter it's about being a human being end of the day
