Club officials are hoping Tan will jet in for the meeting with Wolves, nine months after he last attended a match

Vincent Tan could be ready to make his long awaited return to Cardiff City Stadium this weekend – NINE MONTHS since last stepping foot in the club he controls.

It is thought the club are hopeful the Bluebirds’ owner will jet in from Malaysia to watch Saturday’s Championship clash with Wolves.

And with Russell Slade’s side managing to end a worrying winless streak with a first victory in nine outings up at Wigan, it could be enough to persuade Tan to finally return to South Wales.

Tan has kept a close eye on the club’s progress from the Far East but has failed to attend a single game this season, in stark contrast to last year’s Premier League campaign when he rarely missed a match.

But having initially looked set to take his seat in the directors’ box for the home fixture with Derby last month, Tan is now thought to have considered making his way to South Wales for the visit of Kenny Jackett’s Wolves.

It would come just a few days after success over Wigan, managed by Malky Mackay, the Scot having been part of a text-gate scandal in the aftermath of his bitter departure from the Bluebirds following a fall-out with Tan.

His presence would also see Tan back at Cardiff City Stadium for the first time since his surprise decision to reverse his controversial red rebrand.

It remains to be seen what reception Tan would receive with some supporters claiming they would warmly welcome him after the decision to return the club to its traditional blue colours long campaigned for by fans.

Yet there are those still angry at his stewardship and unconvinced by his appointment of Slade, a manager he claimed was his decision to install.

Still, with Slade overseeing a slow improvement in performances and the midweek win easing any relegation fears, Tan could see it as an opportunity to make his Cardiff comeback.

I for one will applaud Tan...

Yes hes made mistakes and learnt a lot about football in a short time at Cardiff, however he was man enough to reverse the red kit and now we can start being a united club again.

A lot of people will never forgive but without his money we have no club and that is a hard fact we need to accept.

Lets support our club and everyone associated with it and get another three points on Saturday :bluescarf:

Apart from his investment 150 million ? Really if true he's a f*cking idiot

He took over 30/40 million of debt, saved us from going out of business but was after the greedy golden egg
Premier CASH what all the greedy club owners are after it was a gamble
But he fucked it all up ,
The colour change created him against us
Sacked the manager never in the relegation zone
Brought in non football people to run the club who created yet another disaster OGS
Then brings in Slade
80 million premier money BACK POCKET
28 million parachute payments for 4 yrs BACK POCKET
wasted fees and wages on player who never played all on his watch
How NOT to run a football club

:? How the hell is this man a millionaire ?
he still doesn't understand the football

Yeah, I know he's made loads of daft decisions ect. But we still owe him shed loads of money. I just don't want him to leave us on bad terms and sell us to the pikeys on roverway or something, just to teach us a lesson lol we've all seen what hes capable of when he's angry :laughing6:

New badge will be announced, wear your classic replica kit day, big push for ST sales. Tan needs to wear Blue if he makes a appearance. He does deserve a a certain amount of respect for his turn around on the rebrand, doesn't merit enough respect for for praise maybe a ayatollah plea which he must instantly honour IMHO play the game VT, cos we are sick of playing your ones, it's CCFC, you've shut up (kinda) now show up and be humble start building the bridge , BLUEBIRDS

I doubt very much he would go that way.

As said above Vincent Tan came to our club because he saw the dollar signs of the premier money. He spent and blew it.

Don't fall for this we would have been out of business if he had not stepped in. We were an ideal club to take over when the tax man came knocking. Knocking on premiership door with all its trappings and you could have that for a mere tax payment. I recall us about to be closed when we were right down in the dungeon league without a pot to piss in yet someone stepped in.

No, Tan saw the dollar sign and blew it.

30/40million haha we owed langstone 24 million mike hall and paul guy about 15 milloin the tax man 6 million etcetc
never in the bottom 3 haha about 2 weeks away from it under malky
80 million prem money haha it was more like 65 million and certainly will not be in his back pocket niether will the parachute payments go in his back pocket
both these amounts of money will be dealt with in the correct way like any other business and will show up in the accounts
tan might not know much about football
but you obviously know even less about accounts and how to post facts rather than deluded ideas :bluescarf:

So when we were served our third winding up order and ended up in court, you actually think/believe there was a sugar daddy waiting in the public gallery to throw money at the club???? HMRC advised the court to refuse the £6 million VT offered the club stating that we should be closed down, i know people who were there that day (one or two off this forum were also there) and they said the club were very, very close to being folded.

I didn`t expect us to go from 30/40/50 in debt to 130m in debt yet still be in the Championship
