Facts about Slade

Tue Feb 24, 2015 10:27 pm

1. We start really well under him
2. We then have to make massive cuts in terms of player wages - we struggle for long run - what a shock that is
3. After the transfer window and bringing in his own players, nothing fancy but 5 games unbeaten

Fact is any manager asked to cut the wage bill by £11m would have struggled during that period mid season. Cutting £11m during a summer transfer window is a big task for a team at this level. To do it during a campaign and for us to not slip right down into a relegation battle is nothing short of brilliant.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the job that Slade has actually done here. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

While I don't think he is the man to take us forward your facts tell a different story. My biggest fear is the way we have looked so clueless in what we are doing, although I think we could be turning the corner.

Written exactly the same on a few threads last few weeks

Ludicrous that these cuts have happened mid season could cost us dearly although now looking a little less likely than before

Even went as far to say as we will probably have a new 11 if he is still here next seasons end and in some respects bar a few players that wouldn't bother me

maybe the players should be taking there share of the blame
maybe its taking slade longer to get the players doing what he wants them to
maybe some senior players are not performing for him especially those earning upto 10 times more than him :bluescarf:

Maybe the players should take some blame in some matches
But if they are told to play the way they are playing down to the tactics they can't be blamed for that
I'm still not convinced in slade a starting 11 always something wrong with it
Can't understand it sometimes .
Us the fans can see what has been going wrong in matches yet the manger on the side can't
We should of got someone in the middle IMO
I like that o'keefe but we needed someone else too
I still don't think whittingham should be in the side anymore
He doesn't bring what he used too
Maybe that's down to him getting older and where he's playing
I'd like to to see a powerful quiet quick player to replace him in the middle who's not shy to take players on and join the attack
Something we are missing ATM !
I'm sure people can agree with what I've said surely ??

The football we are playing is some of the worst I have seen in over forty years supporting Cardiff.
We can't keep the ball for more than three passes.
Picks players regardless of what sort of form they're in.
Picks players out of position.
Relies almost solely on long balls, set pieces and long throws for any sort of attacking threat.

Just a few more facts about Slade.
