Firstly well done on getting your kit back to blue you should never have been changed to red. We play you on Tuesday at our place and with our form as it is we are not convinced that it is going to improve against you, what are your thoughts do you think you will win and how many fans will travel ?
What about Malky Mackay ? When he first came the majority of our fans were excited by his appointment because he had done well in the league with you and done ok at Watford before that but the fans are 50/50 now since Uwe left the results are worse, do you think Mackay is a manager who can turn it around ?
We don't know the full story of what went on only what we have seen in the media but it didn't end well with your chairman and Malky but he is still popular with the fans it seems.
Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:05 pm
Game has 0-0 written all over it with you having 64% possession.
Malky Mackay spent a large sum of money while with us and did well while we were in the championship, given money I think he can turn you around.
What's Kim been like for you? Gutted we let him go, get his confidence back and I'm sure he will be excellent
Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:08 pm
Malky was fantastic when he came to us. Built a team from scratch that would run through brick walls for him. I thought he was going to be the next big thing in football management and just hoped we could keep him long enough for him to get us established in the Prem. Unfortunately, he wasted a shit load of cash and seemed to forget how to deal with Vincent.
I'm surprised he hasn't turned things around for you yet, but I suppose it's a very different challenge to the one he faced when he joined us.
I think you will beat us on Tuesday. Hopefully by 4 or 5 so Slade will be sacked.
Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:17 pm
Welcome to the board
Malky doesn't just split your fans ours are still split on him
I think we will get a draw on Tuesday as we are becoming a draw specialist. Malky worked wonders in his first season and got us promoted in his second, I believe he would have kept us up in the PL if we didn't have the off field issues.
I reckon we will have 300 or so at the DW.
Given time I think MM will turn your fortunes around though I expect you will be relegated this season.
Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:22 pm
He may turn you around but be prepared to be bored silly by his style of play.
I suppose you pay your money, you take your chance!
Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:23 pm
I fancy us to beat you Tuesday as we are improving. We've only conceded 2 goals in the last 4 games and despite struggling to score, I think we will manage to score against you and pinch a 1-0 or 2-0 win. You seem to concede sloppy goals which is surprising for a Malky Mackay team, as Malky made us organised and hard to beat.
Malky's first season with us he had 10 senior players jogging around a field. He assembled a new squad largely of free transfers but brought in players with the correct character to succeed. As the poster above said, the players would run through brick walls for Malky (they wouldn't have if he was really a racist). If Malky was still our manager, I firmly believe we would still be a Premiership team. Unfortunately, a lot of our fans got manipulated by Vincent Tan, and Kim signing for you to play for Malky again makes a mockery of Tan's allegations that Malky is a racist.
Be patient with Malky, even if you go down this season, I'm sure he will eventually get you in a much better position than where Rosler left you. Malky got us to the Premiership so there's no reason why he can't do the same with you. You already have 3 of our Championship winning players in Leon Barnett, Andrew Taylor and Don Cowie. How are they doing for you this season?

He seemed to lose his way with us. Was excellent in a few games in the premier league. Man City home when we beat them 3-2 springs to mind but then suffered a dip in form and lost confidence. Given a run in the team ok sure he will become an excellent player for you
Sun Feb 22, 2015 10:10 pm
I don't think hes been right since we had murder at the club ironicly I think the players were divided and for one he lost
part of the dressing room but he also lost confidence.
I don't think Wigan will be his resurrection I think too many of the players with the racism saga and dodgy Cardiff stuff
wont have the same desire or belief.
his image is badly damaged I see a future for him, but with you guys if he survives the job relegation could be a blessing in disguise
you could come back a different side - disciplined organised tough
Sun Feb 22, 2015 10:15 pm
Welcome Latic
I think you'll beat us 2-1 on Tuesday. We've been poor of late, despite picking up a few draws. I know you haven't been in the best of form, but I can't see anything other than a home win.
Do I think Malky can turn it around for you? Yes, if he's given next season. You'll probably be in League One but I think he can take you back up - even if only on limited resources.
Malky was a great manager for us. Not much to add to the above, but his first season he performed wonders to get us to a cup final and a Play-Off Semi Final. Second season, he did spend a lot of money but he got us up and it takes more than money to do that - look how long it took Leicester - you need a good manager as well.
Kim will be a decent player for you, has terrific work rate.
Might see you in League One next season. A lot of our fans think we're out of the woods when it comes to relegation, but I'm not convinced.
Wigan are a good club, and good luck to you after Tueday

4 ex championship players as you have forgotten the fore mentioned Kim.

Welcome
For me Malky was one of our greatest ever managers and his achievements stand up there with the best that our club has ever had
I expect us though to beat you
I reckon 250-350 will make the journey

I realise that, but Kim has only just joined Wigan. I was asking how Leon Barnett, Andrew Taylor and Don Cowie have performed for Wigan this season. It's hard to understand how Wigan, who won at Man City and were very unlucky to lose the playoff semi against QPR last season are struggling so much this season. Particularly as they've strengthened their squad with 4 of our Championship winning players.

Hello, Latic, good to hear from you. I'm coming up on Tuesday. If we get, another, draw, then I'll be happy enough.
Malky did brilliant for us in the championship, but was out of his depth, (like the rest of us), in the Premier League. Not sure where he goes from here, really. I really hope that he does well with you, after Tuesday that is.
I'd have Andrew Taylor and Don Cowie back anytime.

Hello Latic!
I think it will be a dour goaless draw or you'll sneak it by an odd goal. We have been reasonably tight at the back lately, however, we can't seem to buy a goal these days.
Mackay made us a difficult team to break down, with a good team ethos, nevertheless his style of play bored us rigid.. it was simply so dull and uninspiring. When we got promoted to the Premier he squandered lots of money on duds.
Kimbo has a good engine on him and in some games he can be here, there and everywhere. However, he's as weak as a kitten - too easily knocked off the ball.

To be fair on his day he can be excellent, very skillful and full of tricks, could sell dummies to Burtons but was found wanting in the Premiership as too lightweight and can be knocked off the ball too easily at times.
Mon Feb 23, 2015 1:55 pm
Malky came at the right time for him and us.
We were always the bridesmaids, the chokers and you did feel he was made of steelier stuff and would stop this. We simply ran out of steam after his first season and got murdered by West ham, then came the day.....the rebrand. Malky supported it because tan gave him cash and lots of it. We got Bellamy who was even then top half premier league class and a winner, Tommy Smith on massive wages to sit on the bench. He created the most boring football ever played, but we won and won breaking all sorts of club records, all in red, and it hurt.....
Promtion to the premier league just hid the underlying tensions from the fans. Malkys ongoing spat with Tan somehow ended up with him being the fans freedom fighter, so the crap football and piss poor decisions were forgotton in our undying devoution which he played to perfection.
Time is a healer. He was a rookie who got lucky. He needs to go down to a lower division bigger club and build something over a few seasons.
The ultimate irony for Malky, I think it will be dour and dire and we will win 1-0 from a Peter Whittingham set play ......

There are some right miserable sods on this board. I can't see Slade ever being a Premier league manager, but while he is our manager I really wish everyone would try to support him.

Agree with the above but sadly he still divides opinion, for me achieved great things and we should have won the carling cup final. I fancy a city win tomorrow as we are slowly improving, Doyle to hit the winner.

Blue is the only real option for this club. Thanks for the support. It was a ridiculous situation and has hurt the club badly in more ways than any could have thought.
Malky Mackay had the potential to be the greatest ever manager at Cardiff, but the distractions off the field cost him, and the club, dearly. He will do a good job at Championship level definitely given time. He has proved that already. You may struggle to keep him if you go down in fact.
Cardiff and Wigan have only just come down from the PL but it is getting more difficult to get back there because of the money vortex which follows demotion. Parachute payments are there to stop this bug they rarely work. The "celebrities" leave and you are still left with a huge wage bill and normally falling support and possibly new management. These are real problems for any relegated club.
I think that there may well be a score draw at Wigan. Welcome to the board.

I watched a bit of the Rugby League World Club Challenge from the DW stadium on the weekend.
I have no idea how they plan to play football on it. It looked in a terrible state even for a rugby pitch. Bottom of the table clash on an absolute quagmire. Could be a pretty dire spectacle I reckon, then again it might suit our style of play....

i was a big big fan of malky the manager but a bigger fan of malky the man until all the racist crap come out some people say he was the best manager we ever had i disagree for me frank burrows was our best manager he got the team promoted back in 88 with no money and no previous hint of city makig a push for promotion as your now seeing latic malky is nothing more than an average manager without tans millions to spend lets be honest if i had the millions malky had to spend i coulda got the team promoted unfortunately your going down this season i tipped u for promotion the way you finished last season strongly under uwe u looked organised and got results late in games suggesting your team wanted to play for him im interested to hear where it all went wrong really as for tonight im going for a city win 2-1 with doyle getting his 1st goal for us and our centre half getting the other from a corner
Tue Feb 24, 2015 12:40 pm
I've always wanted a topic like this to occur to see how foolish our own fans are.
'Give malky time I'm sure he'll turn things around'
Yet with out manager
'Slade is out of his depth and should be sacked.'
So we can tell other fans to give their manager time but we're so fickle we can't give our own manager time because we think we have a given right to be top of the league.
