Going on the basis Slade is sticking with a flat 4-4-2 with the defence and two strikers settled - who plays in the middle?
What 4 strike the right balance between protecting the back four and supplying the ammo for Jones & Doyle?

Noone whitts gunnerson Kennedy
Stick with it, we've lacked the ability to penetrate in the final third all season, but the last two games, with the addition of Kennedy its starting to work.
If I HAD to make a change though, it would be adeyemi in for Gunner.

Adeyemi for Gunnar. Harris for noone. Keep Kennedy and whittingham.

Noone will come good I'm sure of it, a bit less pressure on him now to provide all the penetration up the wing, I think him and Kennedy together are the way forward.

In my opnion noone needs a rest, hes not been playing well all season.
Midfield is very slow, Kennedy is not a pacey winger and noone doesn't seem to be as fast as he used too. We could really use Harris speed.

I think a rest would be ok, but personally I wouldnt make sweeping changes through our midfield as some are suggesting.

Harris Adeyemi O'Keefe Kennedy
A hard working, aggressive, brave, high energised, decisive, determined, committed, agile and confident quartet. I really like the look of those four in midfield, as they all have different sides to their individual games. Take Adeyemi who can play a number of different midfield roles, he can play as a holding midfielder, a box to box midfielder and as an attacking midfielder. As can O'Keefe play a few different midfield roles, however i do not think that he can play as an attacking midfielder.
Bloooooobirds.

Tonteg, do you honestly believe we could get promoted with that midfield.

We won this league by 8 points with a midfield of Noone, Whittingham, Gunnarsson and Cowie. Gunnarsson and Cowie's energy and work rate, Whittingham's quality and Noone's pace and dribbling ability proved a successful balance.
My midfield of Whittingham's quality, Adeyemi and Gunnarsson's energy and work rate with Kennedy's pace and dribbling ability is a very similar balance to our promotion winning midfield, so why not?

Kennedy Gunnarson Whitts McAleny

Kennedy Gunnars Whitts Noone.
A bit of consistency in terms of selection could do us the world of good. We're unbeaten in 4 and if we can emulate and improve on the Blackburn performance then I think with the fixtures coming up we should be able to pick up a healthy number of points.
I'm looking forward to having Pilkington back in contention, he will be a real outlet when he's back fully fit, if Nooney is still under performing then I would give him the hook and have Pilks and Kennedy on either wing. Their direct style of play will get us up the pitch and creating chances.

My midfield would be
Either
Harris adeyemi okeefe kennedy
Or
Noone adeyemi ralls kennedy
Pilkington in when hes fit on the left
Mon Feb 23, 2015 12:30 am
McAleny Whitts Gunnarsson and Kennedy
They are our best midfield when the centre pair are played correctly, when Whitts is given freedom, and when we actually go for a win instead of the direct hit and hope. Defending in our own half for 80 minutes of a game will always expose the midfield pair, and the tactics being used are completely against what Whitts can do.

Harris
Whitts

Noone has been terrible all season!

I would go with that, it won't get us promoted but it could help us Finnish mid table
