Poor decision by the club though to send one of your strikers to a rival club. He could potentially score the goals to keep Bolton up and put us in the bottom 3! Madness.

I agree, should have been dropped and given the chance to battle it out with Doyle and Revell and KJ for a starting spot. Bolton are conceding for fun mind and as if yet don't think his goals have made a difference but watch this space .....

Boltons midfield is alot better than ours they are creating more chances for their strikers, ours are shite

Kenwyn doesn't do partners........Not a 442 forward, never plays as pair. Brought up with the modern 4231.

Never looks to play his partner in, he is looking to offload to the 3 skill attacking midfielder running onto his layoffs. He spends 90% of his game with his back to goal.

This is not a criticism......

I don't agree about him not being a 4-4-2 striker. I think the partnership with Doyle has looked like it could develop given the right service

I agree, has played most of his career up front on his own. Slade knows best though

Cost cutting if it got 10-15k a week of the wage bill so be it, fans need to realise thats whats going on and more will follow before the start of next season

Very true although I think the few games we have seen with Doyle have been an improvement even if it hasn't resulted in a goal fest. Would personally stick with this, no reason it can't work just because he has his back to goal, he can link play up.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think we should be playing 4-4-2 but KJ being upfront with a partner isn't a reason why I think this

Great player, but signed for the wrong team. Hopefully he'll come back here and have a fresh start with us next season.

Ole and Slade couldn't get him in scoring positions

OGS had him on the wing or bench most games

He had lots of goal scoring opportunities and he fecked the majority of them up!

His 3 goals at Bolton have been an open goal, a tap in and a penalty!

It says to me Ole and Slade are Clueless and their results have proved that.

Doesn't matter whether OGS & Slade are clueless or not, Le Fondre squandered umpteen chances, that a striker given his past scoring record, should have converted!

Le Fondre didn't help out either manager!

Le Fondre did well at Reading before he came here :thumbright: and has gone to struggling Bolton played 3 scored 3 facts show it :thumbright:

He also did superbly well at Rotherham before that, but the facts show that he failed miserably with us!

As I said, whether the managers he has played under at Cardiff have been poor or not is irrelevant, as he squandered a glut of chances for us, that you'd have expected him to score!

Whilst the facts show that he has scored 3 at Bolton, I've seen the goals and the first one was an open goal, the second was a tap in and the third which he scored yesterday, was a penalty, all goals which you'd have expected him or any other half decent forward to score!

Re: le fondre!!!!!!!!!!

Not surprising he's proven goal scorer at this level.

Re: le fondre!!!!!!!!!!

Sun Feb 22, 2015 4:26 pm

Doesn't surprise me. Le Fondre will always be a natural goal scorer at this level when played to his strengths. Unfortunately, he had to totally sacrifice his game with us for the good of the team. Instead of playing on the shoulder of the last man and latching onto through balls, he had to run himself into the ground, down the channels and drop deep to take the pressure off our struggling team. Unfortunately, not many City fans could see that, some City fans judge strikers solely on goals without having the footballing knowledge to realise why Le Fondre was having more difficulty scoring goals for us than at any other club.

He still had enough chances to have scored umpteen goals for us and he failed miserably!
