Never looks to play his partner in, he is looking to offload to the 3 skill attacking midfielder running onto his layoffs. He spends 90% of his game with his back to goal.
This is not a criticism......

I agree, has played most of his career up front on his own. Slade knows best though

Very true although I think the few games we have seen with Doyle have been an improvement even if it hasn't resulted in a goal fest. Would personally stick with this, no reason it can't work just because he has his back to goal, he can link play up.

Doesn't matter whether OGS & Slade are clueless or not, Le Fondre squandered umpteen chances, that a striker given his past scoring record, should have converted!
Le Fondre didn't help out either manager!

Unfortunately, he had to totally sacrifice his game with us for the good of the team. Instead of playing on the shoulder of the last man and latching onto through balls, he had to run himself into the ground, down the channels and drop deep to take the pressure off our struggling team. Unfortunately, not many City fans could see that, some City fans judge strikers solely on goals without having the footballing knowledge to realise why Le Fondre was having more difficulty scoring goals for us than at any other club.
