Why is it that some fans and particularly the South Wales Echo, say when a player has been poor in a game or poor over a few games that, that specific player needs to have a rest?? For Christ sake why cannot they just say it like it is and say that he needs to be dropped. It does my head in and the Echo are the worst ones for saying it, especially when it comes to Peter Whittingham. Check the next time when the Echo mention about Whittingham not playing in the next game, they will always say that he needs a rest. Pathetic. He needs to be dropped if we want to start dominating the midfield areas every game. Get Adeyemi, Ralls and O'Keefe in to central midfield andni am positive that they came do a much better job than our current central midfielders are doing at the moment. For me I personally feel that Joe Ralls is the future of this club and I feel that he should be playing a hell of a lot more than he is currently doing. Of course if he does start regularly then that means that Whittingham will have to make way, cause they are similar players. Anyway, even though Ralls is not as good as Whittingham with set pieces, Ralls is not that far behind him when taking corners and free kicks. Cause if he remains on the bench for much longer I can see him wanting to leave the club and there would be loads of interested clubs in the Championship, Premier League and around Europe. He is a quality player, who I have come to really rate since he had that season at Yeovil, that spell away from the club and regular first team football has brought him on leaps and bounds. I think there would be a few La Liga teams after him, if he were to look at leaving the club. As his style would be well suited to that kind of football. I honestly do think that if we had a decent enough manager, who realised - after actually giving him a chance - just how good and how mature beyond his years that Joe Ralls is, that he would be playing Joe week in and week out or at the very least, giving him a game now and again. As this is exactly what Joe needs at his age, for his progression as a player. He needs to be playing regular first team football. If not with us, then send him out on loan for the rest of the season. I think he should at the very least be playing for a Championship team. Also, I think Eddie Howe could make him into a better player, even in the short few months that is left of the season.
