We do know how bad a job he did as caretaker. He did plenty of scapegoating himself. Guerra comes to mind. Bloke was bang out of order.

Have to agree with this. It appears Young forgot the that his tenure in the hot seat was 'temporary' and irked the very people he was then expected to work with and/or mentor

Simply out of his depth and (IMHO) used/manipulated by the club for its own ends

If he was/is that good, then why is Trollope here and why are they now trying to move him (Young) out?

Scott young didn't even want the Job he would go back to coaching the under 13 team tomorrow for God sake.

Nobody is denying he is a legend but as part of the management team he is out of his depth

Not sure what you have to do to be called a legend. He scored a memorable FA cup goal, and was pretty much a one man club, but played his football in the lower leagues and was never good enough to play for Wales although he may have been on the bench once or twice. I saw most of his matches, and I would describe him as a good, brave and reliable lower league defender, but he has never been a legend in my eyes and I don't recall any of the big clubs showing any interest in him.

Scott Young didn't put his name forward to be a first team coach, who can really blame for taking the opertunity when it arised for him. He was a one club man who kept a lot of new signings out of the team by being versitile playing out of position in midfield if that was called for. I watched Port Talbot when he was there and I can say they were competitive at least. I hope by next season he gets demoted within the club as he is out of his depth and 1st team level. After the way he singled out Guerra for public criticism, I think everyone lost some respect for him. Trollope on the other hand knows how to coach in the championship and I would like to think his fresh ideas helped towards the new urgency the team showed against Blackburn. Keep the faith BLUEBIRDS

Not sure I understand or even like all this "legend" business whatever it might mean. Legend usually means myth in the classical sense! However, I dont think anyone has been slagging off this man. People have just pointed out hes not cut out for his job.

think people just pointing hes abit like slade (out of his depth)

cant say i dont blame him for having ago but end of the day its tans fault for making him become assistant he could of said no though!

and the way he has handled players was not very well from what ive been seeing
