DON'T THINK I CAN REMEMBER BEING THIS POSITIVE AFTER A DRAW

Tue Feb 17, 2015 11:01 pm

Rough justice but I feel a more positive after the game than I did before the kick off.

Our possession was much better than it has been in months, we finally saw wing play even if we didn't create an abundance of clear cut chances.

Peltier and Kennedy looked like a pair of players who had played many times together, the winger was excellent tonight, he didn't give the ball away, he took the full back on and when he had to play it simple he did just that. Peltier would go outside Kennedy when the little winger chose to cut inside, that is a partnership that I hope will develop and was a huge positive fir me tonight.

Kenwyne Jones and Eoin Doyle should be the two starters up top, KJ won everything in the air and Doyle is a willing runner but the criticism of Doyle is his first touch, tonight the ball was not brought under control with his first touch and it is something I hope the coaches will work on with him.

Malone and Noone over on the left had better games tonight, they weren't as switched on as Peltier and Kennedy but there was definitely improvements in both their games.

Manga was excellent yet again and it is easy to see he is going to be a fans favourite.

I was critical of Slade over the course of the past week but tonight he and his team deserved to win the game.

There is plenty of work to be done but if we can build on tonight's performance, which saw us play for both halves and not just the usual one half then a win is on the cards very soon.

It goes to show to me anyway how poor we have been when I feel as positive as I do tonight despite conceding a last minute equaliser but nobody can dispute we deserved all three points tonight and Slade deserves some slack on the criticism because there were positives and signs of improvement.

If we play as we did tonight against Huddersfield this Saturday then I will be backing City for an away win.

There was desire in the players performances tonight and they rolled their sleeves up and took the game to Blackburn, it is more than a shame we didn't get all three points but the players can hold their heads up.

Mostly agree to this but Noone was terrible tonight, tried to do too much lost count of the times he lost the ball, when he should have passed it, he should take a leak out of Kennedy's book, if you have two or three players around you, pass the bloody ball

I can't disagree with you but Noone has been particularly poor recently and he was improved tonight, my biggest criticism of him is that he pulls out of 50/50 tackles and it winds me up.

Kennedy certainly showed him when to run and when to pass.

Agreed Carlos, I called Noone a shit arse more than once tonight, I wouldn't mind that so much if he attacked more effectively but he is really struggling. He is lucky we don't have great depth in the squad or he might have seen the bench early on tonight.

Sean Morison had a very good game.

When we scored with just 5 minutes to go, Kenwynne should have been replaced by an extra midfielder- Ralls ? to kill the gme off.

But no, Kadeem was ready to come on when they scored.

A much better performance, but disappointing finale.

Noone may have not gone in for some hard tackles but he nipped in and won a lot of balls. His final ball and some decision making wasn't great but he worked very hard.

It's amazing what trollope has done with the squad in half a week, let's hope he can continue the hard work.

Agree with your OP apart from Noone, ran his arse pinched a few balls but terrible decision making, poor crossing and no composure. Kennedy in contrast showed a real mature performance when to pass when to cross when to take on the full back. We got ourselves a gem.

Not sure if I've been living under a roak but I thought that both Everton youngsters were in on loan, I only realised tonight we had Kennedy on a permanent deal. Delighted after tonight's performance.

Noone started off poorly fell over 3 times in the 1st 3mins, thought he was going for the JayB on your arse award, but he did get better 2nd half! Was amazed that RS didn't take Kennedy off he usually subs our best player-onwards and upwards ya baby!

I thought we had signed the other kid permanent and Kennedy on loan, I was disappointed after the Shef weds debut to find out it was other way around. After tonight I am over the moon. The other kid can play as well!! Finally some pace and hunger
