A forum for all things Cardiff City

Well what a refreshing change that was, headed down the stadium directly from a 12 hour shift in work, didnt particularly want too, but a fans duty i guess. Parked down near Canton Rugby club at 6.30pm and there was an abundance of spaces which initially concerned me.
outside the stadium seemed really quiet, but things started looking up when I arrived under the concourse, had a real bargain in the small club shop under the stand. I've been looking at those Blue CCFC jackets for a while, but they've been £50 all season, today it was £20 with a free red scarf, I told the bird to keep the scarf but bagged the coat for less than half price.
I took a couple of pics of the stadium 5 mind before kick off, I was flabagasted at the low numbers in the stands, people did start filling up the seats in the last second, but a terrible turn out from City fans, I feared the worst at that point, atmosphere wise.
I felt the performance of the team was very positive and that encouraged the small crowd to get a real buzz going around the stadium. Defensively we were really good, the entire back 4 were solid, Manga was a beast.
Peltier linked up really well with the very impressive Kennedy, very excited to see more of that pair playing together, really clicked well.
As for Kenwynne and Doyle, I thought they were fair, but I was chuffed to see a reasonable amount of chances and surely the best possession stats we've seen in ages.
Better team performance, better atmosphere, let's build on this good night at the CCS.

So did I. Disappointed to concede so late, but that's football.

I felt a real buzz leaving the ground last night. Haven't felt like that for a long time. Nice to see the players work hard for a chance to put the effort in.

Yes
enjoyable game lots of nice football , lots of passing , every player put a shift in lots of effort
deserved the win, what a gutter last minute goal should have been cleared after the goal line block
strange how we are happy with City playing actual football - onward and upward lots of good signs tonight
once we scored it was loud pity we didn't score earlier.

I left the ground feeling less disappointed than in previous games, but can't share the enthusiasm that everyone else on this forum seems to have. If you are a City fan we were unlucky not to win. If you are a Blackburn fan a draw was a fair result. The onus was on us to win given that we had a longer rest period since the last game, and were the home team, and yet again we have failed to get an important 3 points. Also, this match means we have now put in one half decent performance in ten games. Perhaps we are finally making progress, but we need to show further improvement at Huddersfield and hope that last night was a sign of us playing better and not Blackburn coming back to earth after their win against Stoke.
