Slade & Player bashing vs Blackburn tuesday

How's about we all get behind the team for 90minutes like the good old days, now that the plastics and others have bailed out ( gates don't lie ) and the core are left maybe if the guy two rows down from you gets up to sing you follow suit.
We as fans need to be the 12th man at this current time. There's no reason not to be behind the team otherwise come back next season in div 1 because fans on the players backs after one bad pass is bound to help us get there.

If we had a shit side with a shit squad of players and a team who just battled and scrapped for point and a manager in charge just doing his best on limited resources he was working with i would support the team no matter what!

But the fact is we got a good squad of players and a clueless manager who dosent know how to utilise it or get the best out of the team so on that basis it is hard to support that shit and i bet many fans will have the same view as me.. #sladeout

Moore - good keeper on his day but same as Marshall, as with any keeper

Peltier - League One signing
Fabio - inconsistent and dodgy in defence
Malone - lower level Championship at best
Manga - only real decent CB option now Hudson is gone
Turner - can be great but is inconsistent
Connolly - more of a utility defender than someone good enough to consistently hold down a back 4 spot
Morrison - inconsistent and not the best player in defence

Whitts - coming to the end of his career - no longer a big midfielder at this level
Dikgacoi - probably more famous in the A&E department down the Heath
Noone - extremely inconsistent and looks disinterested since relegation
John -a young player still learning his trade - ridiculous to put such expectation on him
Adeyemi - still young and learning his trade
Gunnarsson - probably only midfielder now of International quality who should be stepping up but he's inconsistent
Pilkington - average winger for this division
Ralls - still young and learning his trade
O'Keefe - has played 40 games in 5 years and needs to get match fitness - mid level Championship player at best
Kennedy - just signed so will take time to settle
Harris - young, learning his trade and probably more up for it than most others as well

Mason - young, still learning but his maximum level is around mid Championship currently
Jones - good striker proving his worth at this level
Doyle - just signed, a new prospect that needs to settle - already looks better and more up for it than most
Macheda - prima donna who plays well when it suits him - been this way at every club hes played for
Revell - signed from a lower division so is nothing to shout about unless he proves it at this level as well

That is what happens when players age, you sell off arguably one of the best captains this division has seen in a decade, you sell off talented strikers, you sell off midfielders who can change a game, you let defenders who are more solid go or go out on loan - all of this to balance the books.

When you sell or loan out players to cut the wage bill and replace them with lesser quality players the chances are your side is going to not get better but have less quality. Sorry, but there's still some in that side who need to go now because they're not reaching expectations and raising the game so the youngsters can learn and improve and take on the mantle when they leave. These prima donnas need to be cut loose. Fabio is nice to watch play and would make a great winger but he's dodgy and a liability in defence, that is a fact.

People are deluded if they think this is still a top side. No Campbell, no Taylor (more solid in defence), no Caulker, no Medel, no Hudson, no Bellamy, no Mutch, no Cowie, The current side is nowhere near as good as people are making out.

Agree generally with this post except for comments on Adeyemi, Ralls, Fabio and ....Cowie!!! We were conned into believing we had a better quality squad than evidently is the case. However this has been made worse by two abysmal managerial appointments which have dragged us down further into the mire. I agree that on match days we should give the team as much support as we can muster, but this shouldnt prevent us becoming detached from reality and we should continue to voice our discontent at the problems thrown at us.

Don't forget that a good manager can get average players playing really well. Cloughie could be a right tw*t (with the likes of Trevor Francis),but could really raise the performance levels of so many, like McGovern. Mind, he had a great number two in Taylor. Malky, to be fair did that with the likes of Cowie and Taylor. So far, everyone's got worse under Slade and we can only hope that Trolls has a strong influence.
