Former Cardiff City captain Jason Perry on BBC Radio Wales Sport:
It's a good appointment as long as Russell Slade has picked him. That's the important part because the relationship between the coach and manager has to be right.

The only relationship I want to see between Slade and a coach is him boarding the next National Express from Central Station - not bothered where it's going.
