I went to the game today they won 2-1, I know its a far lower level of football but it was lovely to see 2 wingers getting crosses in and goalmouth action, I've not seen that down the city for such a long time

Crowd 1,017

I watched Barry Town at home today.
Flowing football at pace, passes from keeper through the team to wingers and strikers...long ball, short ball, fast and slow.
They won 6 - 0.
Great entertainment.

It was a travesty that the actions of the FAW put them down 3 divisions and back 3 years, as in that season they were competing well with league of Wales teams in the welsh cup (semi finalists).
The same players and management team are still together this season which shows why they are so successful. Incredible loyalty and talent.
The higher that Merthyr and Barry progress, the better for South Wales football.

barry boy perhaps it's was a blessing in disguise that barry went back to welsh league division 3 after all
they have come back a much stronger outfit in my opinion a bit like newport county , 3 steps back 2 steps forward etc
as for your parallels with merthyr it's slightly different with both clubs being in a different set up
it's about time barry got back in the welsh prem . i,ve had a gutsfull with TNS winning everything every year and the welsh prem is made up up with north wales clubs well almost

Top team Barry who have an excellent manager in Gavin Chesterfield. Think they at least ten points clear of second and twenty clear of third so promotion barring a miracle back to division one. Can see them going all the way.
Used to train next to them last season at treforrest a very good outfit.
Side note leyton maxwell came on as sub against us Wednesday night.
Won't even mention out ref against bettws today a complete and utter ...........

1017.
Great crowd, great game, great result.
We've increased our lead at the top of the table to 9 points with 2 games in hand.

We're home again next Saturday, to Bridgwater, and it would be nice if some of the extra bodies that turned up today, turn up again next week.
