' Beware the positive post '

Sat Feb 14, 2015 7:00 pm

So leading in to the weekend all the doom and gloomers would have you believe we would be 3 points off relegation come 4.50 pm today. We are now in a position where a win Tuesday would see us unbelievably climb to 12 th and 9 points from safety with a better GD so in effect 10 points. Yes it's a big ask for us to win on Tuesday as we are playing some awful stuff, but the Blackurn game is now huge and a win would do wonders phsycoligically.

Blackburn had a tough game today, who thinks we can win Tuesday and start to breath a little easier?

I think a draw but we must start Doyle and drop either witts or Gunnar or both. We must get behind them like we did last week in the second half. A huge game. :bluescarf:

Yes - that tough game today ( where they beat a decent Premiership team 4-1 ), will have done nothing for their confidence!

I'm glass half-full by nature. So, we win lucky versus Blackburn and then go on by some miracle to finish above the drop zone by playing the same gash. If RS is still in charge next season and even with an influx of new players, we will just see more of the same and its simply not good enough. Whatever the style, football is a simple results business and if your in charge and not getting the results for whatever reason, things have to change. Do the same thing then the same thing happens and all that.

We are in a very precarious position for sure. What really concerns me is whilst that I would imagine that VT/MD/KC will have no doubt realised by now that RS is not the man for us, my concern is on their decision making process on who they will elect next next given their evident lack of football knowledge. Again, do the same thing then the same thing happens and all that.

On a positive note, Mrs GSE has invited 3 of her girlfriends around for a Valentines Reverse Gangbang. Schweet.

I'd love us to turn it around I really would but while Slade is in charge I only see us struggling week after week , I do hope he could turn it around (he seems a nice guy) but so far to me he has proved what I first feared that he is out of his comfort zone

Yet another must win game but how many times have we said that lately. For me, the possession stats says it all. Something must be wrong with how the team is set up. This is down to the manager. Time to break up the Whitts/Gunnarson midfield partnership I think. This is an average Championship this year and a half decent team would be there or thereabouts this season. Only objective this season is to stay up. This is why we must change the management team otherwise we will go down.

If RS is in charge next year we will go down, I do think we will be ok this season. But your right it does worry me with regards next appointment. They can't keep screwing up can they? It's been said before. One bad appointment can take you down two can set you back a decade.

I don't see slade turning it around at all, not because we are losing but the manner and football. My OP was more about can we win Tuesday on avoid relegation.

Totally agree with everything you have just said. Also think a fit decently orgabised team like we had in the promotion year would go up again.
