he`s Welsh, family from Newport, used to watch City as a boy, premiership manager of the year, track record, talks well when ive seen him on TV, his teams give it all, squares up to players naked in the shower (James Beattie??).

After his time at Stoke and at Palace , i think that Tony Pullis would have looked at cardiff City, looked at the stadium, looked at the players and said "I can get this team promoted". Pay me £120,000 a year and a £5 million bonus for promotion.

I wouldnt risk a successful manager getting all the praise , would the successful billionaire, instead i will employ a no hoper who will bring possible relegation to a division ----2 promotions away from the Premiership.

Because tan was going to restructure club cutbacks ect etc, and no way on gods earth would pulis have excepted such a job? Despite what is said on here! Tan new this so didn't bother to call him simples really

If Tony Pullis had taken over from Ole in September where would we be in the league now? You know and I know, that we`d be higher. There`d be optimism in the air, the ground would be fuller. The capital city of wales would be happy again.

Tan new what he was going to do after ole, so pulis would never have come to club selling or releasing all its high earners, and exchange for div 1 or 2 players? Like you say take couple years to straighten out mess then can get a decent coach,/manager, if required.

Half a dozen Premier League clubs could've offered Pulis a job this season so it's clear he waited for a job like that to come along before joining them. He clearly doesn't have ideas above his station but already being in the top flight against needing to get promoted is the significant difference. I also couldn't see him lasting long with Vincent Tan. His departure at Palace was abrupt and it's clear he had his differences with their owners.
