Vincent Tan – Open letter to the fans

Recently there have been some questions asked about Russell Slade’s suitability for the job as manager of our football club. Let me tell you that Russell is 100% the man for the job as all the fault lays with the players for not listening to him.

Before every game I study the opposition on the Football League Show and give Russell detailed instructions on the tactics for the next match. Russell then carefully explains the tactics to the team – I know that he is good at this because he used to be a school teacher – the problem is that our highly paid players cannot follow basic instructions.

There has also been criticism of Scott Young. This is all wrong. Scott has been the coach of a Premier League team in our country, Scott has all the badges, including one personally presented by John Nokes of Blue Peter fame and, finally, Scott will always be part of our club after scoring the winning goal in the 19th minute and 27 second against Leeds United to win the FA Cup final.

I will be travelling over later this month to help explain the tactics to the senior players like Hudson, Whitingham and Campbell. Craig Bellamy will be assisting me explain ‘long ball tactics’ as he is about the same height as me.

Finally, if all stick together I am sure that we will be playing in a different league next season.
