Vince Alm Asks Questions about Cardiff fans Support last Nig

Vince Alm Cardiff City Supporters Club

A couple of Question to all those who attended last night's game! do you think our support of our struggling team was any better than their performance on the pitch?

Do you think our support last night would have a positive effect or negative effect on those players on the field during the game?

Do you think our support is as loyal and supportive as Leeds United Man City. Norwich City Nottingham forest derby county?

I give Leeds fans credit the other week they had a couple of thousand at Derby their team were totally outplayed without a shot on target and they didn't stop singing for 90 minutes! that's supporting your team. I understand people get frustrated I do but I don't boo but for those who do surly it's better after the final whistle

Probably about equal but then thats not the point is it, people buy a ticket and pay good money to be entertained and to have a good time. I doubt any of those fans had value for money and thats down to Slade having no clue how to manage a team

Neither, I didnt think the fans were supportive or negative, it was very quiet but not a lot to get excited about.

No Idea, havent been to many grounds where ive been impressed with the home crowd and been to all those places (except Derby).

Leeds, forest, Derby, norwich, Man City have not gone through a rebrand, they also play decent football even when losing

Is he having a laugh? I was down there last night and we sucked, but fortunaty for us so did Brighton. To me apart from Noone and Manga not a single player even tried. There was no closing down when they had the ball, no urgency, nothing. It was like a ru of the mill lets go out and collect our wages type game. And they wonder why we boo'd? Its not us you should be asking questions, its the players that need speaking to.

Also my cousin had a good point about last night, whats the difference between a sunday league player and Kenwyne Jones? £35k a week. Both just stand there completely out of position, who will then run towards a player then do nothing when he gets there. Hes good at defending but not much else.

Slade is giving us other Slades a bad name, hes not the right manager and it shows.

I have to say, one question is contradicted.

"Do you think our support last night would have a positive effect or negative effect on those players on the field during the game? "
"I give Leeds fans credit the other week they had a couple of thousand at Derby their team were totally outplayed without a shot on target and they didn't stop singing for 90 minutes! that's supporting your team."

What effect did the Leeds fans have on their team ? None.

Im sure our support is as loyal as it has been. But the problems we have had and the way things are being run, and the football being served up at this moment is a disgrace.

We all go to see a game of football, and a win is our bounas. I can honestly say I have seen better football on our local park. I see teams playing with more passion and determination and Hywl than I have seen in these past few months at the City.
and our players are professionals or they claim to be.

Its got so bad that if we put two decent passes together the fans start singing as if we have scored a goal. Fans can only take so much shit ,after that we are like mushrooms ,we don't mead any more. To me its a 50/50 thing ,they play well we will give them all we have as fans. But as professionals there insparation to win should be inbuilt in them ,as anyone who plays a competitive sport know, and lets face facts ,they get paid a bloody fortune to what the average working guy gets. So it begs the question ,why should we go sit in the cold like last night spending ££s and get served up a load of crap.

They have to give us something to inspire us to sing, as they want us to sing and support them, its a 50/50 street. :bluescarf:
SO COME ON BLUE BIRDS PUT SOME PRIDE IN THAT SHIRT.

The crowd and atmosphere has been pathetic this season in all honesty .

The players need a boost from us fans because it is not going to come from the manager

Shame that football is just money today...

Money THEY get paid.

Money WE have to pay.

There is no Bluebirds. There are BLUE and there are BIRDS

i didnt boo....but if a team plays with such little passion then what do they expect.....people are paying with their hard earned money to watch a team that seems not to to arsed to play football.....if i dont perform in work i dont get paid...so i have little respect for what im seeing... :ayatollah:

I personally never boo my team however bad they are but that's me, everyone else have their own opinions

This is the entertainment business and last night...

Re: Vince Alm Asks Questions about Cardiff fans Support last

Wed Feb 11, 2015 7:48 pm

Personally no matter what has happens on the pitch I will never boo my team.

Yes it does frustrate me when you see individuals who don't seem interested in the game (there are plenty of those), Slade need to ship these players out - if they don't have passion for the team win, lose or draw they shouldn't be at our club. However as fans its all very well cheering when we are beating Man City, however when we have a dog fight against the likes of Wigan its when true fans need to step forward and support the boys.

Didn't boo last night, but the football was dreadful.

Vince always seems to be making swipes and digs at our supporters, I don't think it is right.

It's all getting as boring as the football, I thought the fans did ok second half to lift the side. It's surely more atmosphere than the grounds I have visited lately. That said never boo your team. :bluescarf:

Pointless comparing us to Leeds, Norwich, Forest, Man City etc. Their bigger, better supported then we are.

I just can't be arsed any more.

Premier league hangover, shame over the rebrand, no idea what is going on behind the scenes, unfounded rumours on message boards, poor weather, Owner can't be bothered, manager clueless, assistants even worse, players lethargic......

Fans immune system shattered....

We are buggered !!!!

People are blaming the manager and then booing the team! All seems misdirected. Better , I'd say to follow Tan around with a huge megaphone and boo him every friggin second!

Yes, our players are not allowed to make mistakes, 1 bad pass and the City fans are on their backs hence heads start to drop

Do you think our support is as loyal and supportive as Leeds United Man City. Norwich City Nottingham forest derby county?

No they support their teams like real fans should no matter how bad they may be

We are sh%t at the moment but as Supporters we should do exactly what it says on the tin and support the Boys !!!!!!!!

Next season y dont all the fans who like 2 stand and sing who currently sit near the away fans move behind the goal where they are more tolerant towards standing, im sure there will b plenty of room with all the non renewals and we can get all the singers together

Re: Vince Alm Asks Questions about Cardiff fans Support last

I sit behind Vince and all he did in response to the fans around me venting their anger at the shite performances from Whitts and Gunnar was for him and his pal to sing " he does what he wants " whenever we took a corner or free kick ( unproductively ) !!

He does what HE wants ??? No he , me or I in team work ........ a leader he certainly isn't and a player past his sell by date , cant carry a player just for corner and free kicks if there is little or no end product ?

Slade is 100 times worst than Durban :bluescarf: :old: :bluescarf: :old: :bluescarf:

Why do you use a thread about the crowd to single out and ridicule Kenwyne Jones so randomly?

In a dreadful team with a midfield that does not create chances, he apparently has the third highest goal per minute ratio in the Division. I can only presume that you would prefer the ‘headless chicken’ approach of Revel or Le Fondre rather than the goal scoring contribution of Kenwyne. Judging by your endorsement of Craig Noone that is the case. I cannot think of anybody who has been less effective this year than Craig Noone and that is really saying something.

Do you really believe that the players were not trying?

Good post.
To try & compare Jones to a parks player is infantile & pathetic.
Obviously doesn't know anything about football.
