Doesn't surprise me. Le Fondre will always be a natural goalscorer at this level when played to his strengths. Unfortunately, he had to totally sacrifice his game with us for the good of the team. Instead of playing on the shoulder of the last man and latching onto through balls, he had to run himself into the ground, down the channels and drop deep to take the pressure off our struggling team. Unfortunately, not many City fans could see that, some City fans judge strikers solely on goals without having the footballing knowledge to realise why Le Fondre was having more difficulty scoring goals for us than at any other club.

Don't start saying he's the messiah, he is shite. He had several clear cut chances for us, his strengths, and never looked like scoring.

So are all our players shit? I think our club and management team are the problem they are making good players look terrible

Granted, he did miss chances but when they come so few and far between even the top class strikers will do well to finish the 1-2 chances they get every game. I agree with Tonteg Bluebird, never played to his strengths and think the right manager would have got more out of him.
