' Cardiff City 0 v 0 Brighton match report: Bluebirds jeered off as the winless run continues '

Russell Slade's men only managed one shot on target and now sit just six points above the relegation zone

Cardiff City were again jeered off their own pitch as a drab scoreless draw with Brighton left them dangling six points above the relegation zone.

The result keeps the pressure on Russell Slade as fans made their feelings known over form that has seen them earn just one win in their last eleven Championship outings and without a victory in their last five in the league.

Conversely, it is a second point gained from as many games to bring a losing streak to an end but that will be of little consolation to supporters who witnessed a game of little quality and fewer chances.

There was not an opportunity of note for either side in the opening half, Brighton bossing possession but unable to penetrate Cardiff's deep-lying set-up.

Slade changed the system at the break, introducing striker Eoin Doyle having started Craig Noone in one of two changes from the draw at Sheffield Wednesday, David Marshall returning in goals to skipper the side.

It at least brought a first shot on goal, Aron Gunnarsson's deflected effort eventually making its way to goal and picked up by David Stockdale with ironic cheers echoing around the ground.

Brighton, for their part, created nothing with their possession and anything that did threaten the Bluebirds tended to be swept up by the again-impressive Bruno Manga.

And with Kadeem Harris injecting some urgency from the bench, Cardiff did finally get a couple of attacks to excite with Aron Gunnarsson heading over from a Peter Whittingham corner and Kenwyne Jones heading wide from a Craig Noone floated delivery.

But neither goalkeeper had to produce a save in the game, summing up the lack of excitement with Cardiff fans no doubt disillusioned at the dismal form of their team.

He ain't that good :D

The most disappointing thing is that we appear to be getting worse every game!

If there was (lol) 19000 at the game there will be 14000 next week.

The club appear oblivious to what's going on and the number of people who were saying they are not renewing season tickets was quite staggering :ayatollah:

Yeah I know only time will tell but these people are ones who have supported city for over 35 yrs, the most used comment was " we are going on a few Holidays money better spent or we can find better use of our money".

Time will tell but the figures from the ticket office dont look good, WHO CAN :bluescarf: BLAME US
