Only 6 points above the drop

Tue Feb 10, 2015 9:46 pm

As Millwall have won tonight and we only managed a draw we are now only 6 points above the drop? As we only managed 40% possession at home against Brighton who are fourth from the bottom and a paltry 10 shots on goal with 1 on target, I'm starting to worry about our chances of staying in the Championship under Slade/Young.

Cardiff City are clueless, a hotchpotch of hopelessness, on the road to nowhere: Chris Wathan's damning verdict

Where on earth are Cardiff City heading right at this moment in time?

Apart from dangerously close to the third-tier of English football that is, with the gap between themselves and the teams in the relegation positions able to be cut down to just three points come Saturday night.

Because it is becoming increasingly difficult to work out what exactly Russell Slade is trying to achieve with the Bluebirds.

We are 19 games into Slade’s reign at Cardiff City Stadium, a tenure that has seen the side – dubbed the ‘biggest and best squad in the Championship’, remember – collect just 22 points.

That alone would be cause for concern, especially when you consider 40 per cent of that tally came in the first fortnight courtesy of three home wins.
