' Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall is close to make his return from injury and could be involved against Brighton on Tuesday. '
The Scotland international has cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines recently, having picked up an ankle injury in December which resulted in him missing all of Cardiff's matches in January. The 29-year-old has now returned to training and Bluebirds manager Russell Slade says it will not be long before he is back between the sticks for the Welsh club, giving him an outside chance of facing Brighton. "He'll be closer again on Tuesday, there's a chance," Slade said. "He's definitely making good progress and the operation seems to have gone really well." Slade added: "He's started to do some handling, so that's pleasing as well to have him back."
