MALKYS RECORD AT WIGAN-HOW BAD??

Sun Feb 08, 2015 9:02 pm

Just for Brick, I thought I'd update and highlight (or is that lowlight) Mackay's overall record at Wigan. Quite astounding. At what point does the club say enough is enough?

Uwe Rosler 22 16 18 39.29%
Owen Coyle 7 6 10 30.43%
Roberto Martinez 51 47 77 29.14%
Steve Bruce 23 17 28 33.82%
Chris Hutchings 2 2 9 15.38%
Paul Jewell 127 74 90 43.64%

A rugby city with a rugby playing manager. Match made in egg heaven. :old:

Keep up the good work, Malky. Hope none of the bottom 3 go on a winning streak.

I was never one of Malkys biggest fans when he was here, especially when he didn't change his footballing style from boring safety first football after we got promoted and he had some money to spend on bringing in some more attacking orientated players, however, no one can argue that he definitely had the quality to motivate and organise teams, I am extremely surprised how long it is taking him to change Wigans fortunes. Has he lost his touch so quickly in his short Managerial career?

It is THAT bad! You are comparing Malky, who has been touted as one of the most talented managerial prospects to come along in the last couple of years with a manager who has achieved nothing in 20 years of management

One of the saddest threads I've seen ion here for a while!

You might as well start one that has the after-record of EVERY manager that ever left Cardiff City FC

FFS, let it go. He's gone, we've (well, most of us have) moved on!

If they keep Malky in to next season, whatever league they're in, he will do well. He needs time to make it his squad.

He's a great manager :thumbright:

I hope Malky keeps losing with Wigan because that's one less team that will be safe in this division! As one poster said, we need to move on. He had success with us, he left us under controversial circumstances, and he's now someone else's manager. Only one club and manager that has my support. Ours!

The only stat that matters at the moment is how many points do CARDIFF have and how many can be picked up by the end of the season by CARDIFF.

MM and Wigan are competitors so the worse they do, the better for CARDIFF.

Reminder: This is the CARDIFF City Forum, not Wigan Pathetic's

So you've moved on? yet you take the time to comment on the thread?? bizarre

I don't really see how it's a sad thread, I'm not having a dig just for the sake of it at the former manager, as I believe that he is a decent manager, who given time will be a success where ever he ends up. However, I am hugely surprised at how bad results have been for him there so far, it now of course becomes even more of interest, as we could find ourselves in a position, where it's literally us or Wigan fighting to stay in the league.

for those that still think it is worth discussing, they should be allowed to do so without berks like you who aren't interested in the topic intruding. as a moderator of a forum you should know this better than most.

back on topic, it hasn't worked out so far for malky. wigan are certainly stuck in a rut, and they need to start picking up points, and quickly.
