You in a cable and sky area or just sky? As cable versions of th sky f5 box are a hell of a lot better!

Can also point you in th direction for a sky sub for what you would pay a month this guy charges per year

as I said 40 for a blank box? no subs and not setup? so a set up box with 3 weeks left is as I said a bargain

not bad at all, get that box bought up

year sub then should be no more than £25-£30

but yeah if your asking if you just "plug it in" its a bit more than that

as long as you know you need a dish, you need a decent broad band connection, a nice long ethernet cable if modem and location for skybox by tv is no where near each other, yes the f5s can be used wireless but quality of connection to router can suffer...best to have a quality ethernet cable connected... as said then adding the line, can be tricky if you dont know what the hell your doing but its not too bad
then bog standard upating firmware and replacing lost or scrambled channels can come into play after that

yes you can record via usb stick, need a nice big memory on stick, no you cant pause

yes you get all channels, standard, movies, sports incl sky sports 5, bt 1 and 2 and so on, adults seems to be moving around a breaking up these day but hey ho

no you dont have to be a sky customer 8-)

best bit of kit ever... my niece has pretty much the same set up via sky paying £90 a month

Don't bother with a long Ethernet cable, get a 15quid set of wall plugs and you don't have to bother hiding cable.

If you google sky f5s on YouTube you can basically self teach yourself everything. Get on other forums such as digital-Kaos or tech kings for advice and get on cskingdom to find good subs.

You won't get HD apart from free to air, but if you're in a cable area you can get HD on all channels with a q5 pvr box etc.

The skybox f5s are very cheap and cheerful but do a good job. Can get better boxes that update the epg, twin tuner and built in HDd etc but the skybox are a great intro box.

I've got them for my dad, bro in law and father in law, for the money they are great.

On ebay It's £40 for the box plus whatever it costs for a year years subscription, anything from £25 upwards
