Ridiculous decision! 1 player who looked like scoring, closed everything down, and linked up well with Kenwynne 1st half
Sat Feb 07, 2015 5:38 pm
Did everything but score today IMO!

I like the look of him ,seems full of running and aggression

Spireite in peace
I was going to ask how he did in his first game and I was worried he may not have had a good one when I saw him subbed.
Seems he did the usual job of working like a madman and chasing down everything. he looked unconvincing for us for about 4 months and then once we got him into the games more he set the team on fire.
Be patient and I am sure he can do the same in the championship.
The wendies loaned us Lavery as a replacement and he scored today. maybe they should have kept him

Hope he gets some goals or some people will doubtless get on his back. His work rate was second to none for us.
Good luck Eoin for the rest of the season. CFC Legend

Slade would sub them all if he could if that was the case.

How about trying to win today's game first before planning for the next game?
He's used to playing twice or three times a week in the lower divisions.

Made no sense to me. Jones was out in his feet and Doyle was still full of running. Revell and Jones don't work well together, so surely it would have been better to keep Doyle on.

Doyle was superb today. Shocking he was subbed

I do wish media would ask questions like this.

if he was planning on taking a striker off then he should have closed the game out and brought on Adeyemi as 2 sitting midfielders then brought on revell or left doyle as the loan striker was my opinion
Sun Feb 08, 2015 9:21 am
Reveal is also full of running and because Sheffield Wednesday were pushing us (as you'd expect from a home team) the there was always going to be a lot of hoofed clearances. Revell obviously being a bigger target.
Some of our fans are amazing managers after the game.

Great, so we can lump the ball as far forward, maybe win the first header but have no one anywhere near play to win the second ball. Let's invite as much pressure on us as possible.
Poor decision from Slade/Young

Let's hope one of our fearless hacks(joke)ask that same question

Yep. Same as master tactician mourinho used to chuck huth upfront in games. It just happens.
I'm ready for the 'how can u compare slade to mourinho' idiotic comments.

Nah, I'm backing slade because I know how tough it is at the moment.

Of course its tough with whats going on and slade will use the word many many times from this poin on ( transition ) thats not what im saying you say some of our fans are amazing managers after the game yet tell us all why doyle was taken off and revell was put on because somebody asked why doyle was taken off dont mean there not backing the manager or team
Sun Feb 08, 2015 5:43 pm
Ye I told u the reason why I thought revell was put on. I didn't say it was the right one. I can just see the thought behind it. As I see it, the fans moaned cos Kenwyne didn't start v derby, it was slades fault we drew Cos we took Doyle off (not because a defender gave away a penalty). So that's 6 points we'd have had from the last 2 if the fans were I'm charge. Do you see where I'm coming from?

I have never saw Mourinho, or any manager actually put a centre back on upfront when 1-0 up and under pressure.
