Season ticket sales for next season sold to date

Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:54 am

122, this time last year when we were still in the PL approx 3,500 on same date

Our stadium now holds 33,000 fans.

No early purchase ticket insentive put in place by the club, so fans could theoretically wait till August to renew if they don't mind where their seat is in the stand :bluescarf:

I fully intend to renew, but whats the rush? i'll do it last minute like everything else in life. :bluescarf:

interesting figures youve quoted though, nobody is worried about losing their seat this year

I've renewed 2 tickets for me and my young son. I'll support the Bluebirds no matter what.

I phoned up on Tuesday and got through immediately - no surprises there!

The only reason that I renewed so quickly was having 2 lots of car tax, insurance and MOTs in March though. I didn't want to give the opportunity for my football hating better other to refuse permission. Otherwise I would have waited.

Simon, thats worse than awful, especially if we sold 3,500 at the same period last season. So its not just about money?

I will be renewing mine as usual come the end of March :thumbright: :bluescarf:

But in all honesty they should of reduced the price. My daughters aged 5,9 & 13 I think its £249 each in the Ninian Stand for 3rd Division type football

Re: Season ticket sales for next season sold to date

As I'm likely to miss between 8 and 10 games next season I shan't be getting one. Will pay match by match, obviously not going to be a problem getting tickets as I doubt if we'll average more than 15,000 next season.

Kids that age sat with you should be no more than £100 each.

Reduced my 2 by £38 each but still far to much for what's on offer. I may attend the odd game but looks like a few gap years heading my way :ayatollah:

Correct its a complete rip off for Children in stands like the Ninian Stand.

the reasons behind that low figure is poor football and prices, the two biggest factors for the fair weather fans, and we have plenty of those who won't stick around for more mid table championship football.

i agree with reducing the prices more. we have been overcharged in the past, and now the budget is being slashed, the prices should be in keeping with a mid table championship club in a relatively deprived area.

I'm in the Ninian stand as well. I paid £156 for my ten year old son's season ticket and mine £345 with a £10 quid "admin" fee. I don't think that's too bad for the Championship, but maybe expensive for Division 1.

That's exactly what im looking to pay when I renew. But my son is 14 this year and wants to move to the canton stand which is same price. Just waiting to see what seats and where become available there

I honestly feel, the prices needed to be a lot lower than they are for next season, it looks like City are going to be in for an awful shock. You cant give Fans dire football, lower league players, but expect to pay high prices. Fan work hard for their money they want value back for it :thumbright:

£30 odd to pay on the day as well, they wont pay that either.

If I am wrong then 18,200 current season ticket holders will renew. :thumbright:

Yeah - we're in the wet section (unless I lean my head back to the "dry" section in the row behind - not sure there's too much of a Welsh climate change moving back one row :? ) but thought it cheaper to invest in baseball caps, and to tell my son that putting up with a bit of rain will make a man of him

Although the way Cardiff have been playing, I've suggested he takes his footy boots with him to the game

If the football remains similar to what's been dished up this season then I don't think we'll hit the 15,000 mark. The actual attendance figure now are only around 17,000 I believe.

Ticket prices have decreased dramatically and we're back in blue, that should be enough for any true City fan to renew

I'll renew regardless just no rush will wait until end of march when I have more funds available

well they havnt reduced for my 8 year old grandson in the ninian its gone up
hes been season ticket holder for last three seasons
but his price has gone up from £219 to £245 how can that be justified
last year in September I was 60 but the club still made me paid the full adult price for the whole season ,again how can they justify that :bluescarf:
I have already renewed mine and my grandsons season ticket for next season because we are ccfc supporters no matter what :bluescarf:

That's because you were on the price freeze, the whole point in the price freeze was that you would have the cheapest tickets for the given period of time and then they'd go back to normal prices when the price freeze expires. So actually no, your grandson's price has dropped by £59 (like mine).

Regarding the senior tickets, that's always been the rule and it's the same with all age groups. To apply for a senior ticket you have to be 60 before the season starts in August, it's pretty simple and fair in my opinion.

I renewed yesterday, for my dad, (who's 86), and myself. Corner of the grandstand and the Canton stand. We're happy enough, we just like supporting our club, and going to games. :bluescarf:

no your wrong jon
my grandson was NOT in the price free
his ticket HAS gone up from £219 to £245 :bluescarf:
using your calculations that would mean juniors last year not on price freeze would have paid £245 +£ 59 =£304 don't think so :bluescarf:

Re: Season ticket sales for next season sold to date

I'm renewing going to leave it till end of the month but I'm going to get a cheaper ticket this year from grandstand to canton not much atmosphere where I sit been there since ground opened feel like a change anyway

:sad7: :sad7: I should be paying 345 next season, if it goes tits up and we go down, then it's the pick your game... Even if we stay up it's still pick your game time. LETS wait & see!!!
