Thoughts Matty Kennedy

Good signing this. While Doyle will be the signing most likely to raise at least some hope for us in what is turning into a diabolical season I think Matty Kennedy will be the player to make the most impact come the end of the season. Doyle will hopefully get the goals to keep us up and hopefully finish in a respectable position but Matty will likely be the one with the assist count.

Had some decent loan spells, knows the game well and is probably the right time for him to permanently move from Everton before he becomes a loan expert which, while good for gaining experience, can also disrupt a players development if they are playing for 2 or even 3 teams in a single season. Certainly Matty now needs to consolidate his game by playing regularly with the same players around him. He quick, direct and likes to get the ball in the box. It wasn't long ago that Everton fans were excited by the prospect of seeing him breaking into the Everton side or at least making some appearances from the bench. Maybe the loans has made the Everton management realise that he isn't quite going to make it for them... but he is defiantly a low risk signing for us.

Perhaps not the 'name' we would have liked but a good signing in light of the clubs new found austerity in incoming players (albeit complete lack of austerity with outgoing ones!).

I'll admit I've never heard of him but he's one of those players where only time will tell. Let's hope he's a hidden gem.
