Norwich City table £2m bid for Cardiff City winger Craig Noone

Cardiff City winger Craig Noone is understood to be the subject of a £2m bid from Norwich City.
News of the Canaries' interest first emerged earlier on Monday and it is now believed they have made a firm offer for the 27-year-old.
Cardiff sources insist it would take a substantial fee for Noone to leave, and it is currently unclear how close their £2m offer comes to the Bluebirds' valuation
The loss of Noone would be a major blow to Cardiff fans, coming just two months after he signed a new contract until 2018.
Cardiff have no desire to sell Noone but are likely to find it difficult to turn down a major bid as they continue to cut costs under Russell Slade.
The wideman was one of the few Cardiff success stories during their season in the Premier League and has established himself as a firm fans' favourite.
Noone has been a first team regular in the Championship under Slade and has made 77 appearances in total for the Bluebirds since signing from Brighton for around £1m back in August 2012.
New Norwich manager Alex Neil is a big fan of Noone but he is likely to have to up his offer before the window closes if he wants to land his man.
Norwich are also thought to be chasing West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans, possibly as part of a deal that would see full-back Martin Olsson move to the Hawthorns.
It remains to be seen if they would maintain their interest in Noone if that deal were to go through.

It will take a lot more than £2m for us to sell, can't see him going

If they offered £2m we should want £3m and work down

Whats the point in buying a striker if there is no creativity at the club? Looks like the only way we are going to scores if the ball is constantly hoofed into the opponents box!

At the moment, I don't think he's worth £2million. Norwich have Redmond already and he's much better than No one at the moment

A huge shame if he leaves.
Most of the squad are crap at the moment including him. He is one of our best players but as he is off form, so people will be happy he is sold.
He is asked to do too much under Slade.

We will miss him - loss of form is only temporary. And he has been playing in a struggling team....much worse than last season when he had better players to play with.
Too much reliance on him this year to produce the spark. With wingers it either works or not...and a lot of it is confidence.

Club have been desperate to sell Nooney and Kenwyn all day, also they have offered any of our squad that any club will take
Mon Feb 02, 2015 6:26 pm
He's been shit this season I would rather fa bio on the wing with Harris so get rid of him if price is right
Mon Feb 02, 2015 6:30 pm
Sell him. The way Slade plays we need wingers with better crossing ability who can hang it up for the strikers to get knock downs in and around the box.

Noone comes back in side he's a one trick wonder
We need crosses coming in from the bye line for revelle or jones to attack ffs
Get rid of him I say
Mon Feb 02, 2015 6:36 pm
I'd snap their hands off for £2 MILLION....
Who say's he will return to his former glories...27 is getting on for a speed reliant player....
None of our established players are playing well, he may not be getting the "love" any more from the club or has he over achieved ?

Id take the £2 million as well while we've still got the chance.

Think we all agree get rid. All players have bad form but he's been poor all season and not been injuired. Good business.

Cardiff want 5 million they won't pay it

Spot on. Slade's style of play is going to end up like West Ham's in my opinion. Attractive? No. Will it eventually be effective? Probably if he gets the right players in. The thing is, we're going from a team that was building towards a philosophy of playing football under Solskjaer now back to a team that's going to play a completely different way again. This will keep happening if we keep chopping and changing managers. We need to give a manager at least 1.5 seasons or 3 transfer windows.

Really hope we don't sell but if he goes I'd love to see Declan John be given a go as a winger finally!
