Young Blues close to sealing short-term move to Championship side

EVERTON FC pair Conor McAleny and Matthew Kennedy could be heading out on loan to Cardiff.

The Championship side want to take the Blues youngsters to south Wales on a short-term deal.

McAleny has made just one senior appearance for the Blues this term, playing in the Europa League dead-rubber against Krasnodar.

The 22-year-old from Whiston travelled to Qatar with the Everton squad last week but now looks set for a spell with Cardiff.

Kennedy, meanwhile, recently returned from a successful loan spell at Hibs.

The 20-year-old spent six months with the Scottish club and scored once in 16 appearances.

Kennedy was managed by former Everton captain and under-21s coach Alan Stubbs at Easter Road and impressed during his time there.

Now he and McAleny will have the chance to pick up some game time at Cardiff.

excuse me whilst I fall off my chair laughing. That will ruin any career they had aspirations of as a football player - they'll just be looking to the sky waiting for the ball to drop! :old:

If I was them I'd turn back!

Well if they do come it would show Martinez has confidence in our set up which includes slade to look after them
And that would be two fingers up to a lot of our so called fans
Not really sure what some of them want
Blue shirts
Debt reduction
Stable finances due to living within our income stream
Oh I nearly forgot tan to fu..off
Tan to turn debt to equity (that's before he fu..s off I assume)
Keep over paid under achieving players with no ambition other to collect there wages
Sign young committed players who wants to play for cardiff city
Feel free to choose from the above
My choice is blue shirts debt reduction stable finances and sign young committed players who want to play for cardiff city
I don't want to keep over paid under achieving players and I don't want tan to go yet
I want him to continue cutting our debt to continue changing our squad and eventually turn debt to equity to sell us to some one who then wants to take us further as I believe tan has now had enough :bluescarf:

all I want is committment, from the manager to coaching staff to players. There is very little of that presently and that to me is because the buffoon we have in charge can't get the players moving in the right direction.

Finances, blue/red shirts, debt to equity, selling players, well there's nothing I can do about that but supporting or voicing an opinion about crap being dished up is something I can do. I go to football to watch a game, not worry about Tan or his employees under him kissing his arse!

How was it a successful loan I'd he's a striker and only scored one in 16? That's lower than ALF

I photographed the Everton-v-Krasondar game and, apart from the deluge of rain!, I do remember McEleny being quite impressive.

Surprised he is being loaned to a Championship club - but, if he is, I would take him.

Everton FC Academy player Matthew Kennedy has sealed a permanent transfer to Cardiff City.

And the 20-year-old winger will be joined in the Welsh capital by Conor McAleny who has tonight secured a loan until the end of the season.

Also Blue boy Conor Grant, 19, is to join Scottish Premier League outfit Motherwell for the remainder of the campaign.

Kennedy recently returned from a six month stint Hibs where he impressed under former Blues captain Alan Stubbs.

But tonight Everton agreed an undisclosed fee for the wide-man who has also had spells with Tranmere Rovers and MK Dons during his time at Everton.

McAleny, meanwhile, is hoping to impress Roberto Martinez during his spell with mid-table Championship side Cardiff.

The 21-year-old travelled with Everton’s first-team squad to Qatar recently for a warm-weather training camp.

Grant was named on the bench for Everton’s Europa League dead rubber against Krasnodar in December but will now finish the season with Motherwell in the SPL.
