46 is the average?

We're on 32 and I don't think we can pick up 12 more points if I'm honest.

Will our team fight? I can't see it.

Taking 46 points are average we need say 16 to be safe? So the other 8 teams below us need 16 to 23 points! And as that Is not going to happen, realistically city are relatively safe despite poor form. :old:

34 actually Ned.

I feel we are going to need 50 to survive though. So I will say 16 needed.

That's 16 points from 18 games. A bad February and its going to get frightening.

Looking at our fixtures I think we will get another 15 or 16 points. Going to be touch and go.

Spot on.

When people look at points needed to survive or like a few seasons ago when it was points needed to go up, they forget the other teams.

Its not just us against 46 to 50 pts, its us against a load of clubs who are also in it with us.

However hard it looks for us, it is a lot harder for many others.

Problem is they are picking up points. Only 3 teams doing worse than us on current form, and one of those are forest who are still above us.

Look at some of the names in that list... It's happened to much bigger and much better teams than us.

Shocking when you see them all in one go.

Yes maybe so but for how long? Teams may be picking up points now but 18 more games left and those teams all won't continue to do so? While hopefully we will have upturn in fortunes,

Sorry, my mistake - even got the maths wrong!

If you're right, and I tend to agree, then its difficult to see us surviving.

February is a big month. We won't get anything on Saturday and then the gap could narrow with Millwall at home to Huddersfield and Brighton at home to Forest.

If any of above mentioned teams are below us then its obvious we won't lose ground to them all just points, to some, Forest ahead on goal dif at moment? Not to mention any other teams below all got to get a point a least! Miracles do happen but unlikely.

I have no faith in us getting any more points the way we're currently playing.
I just hope come the end of the season, that there has been 3 other teams serving a bigger brand of shit than what we play.
