If this many people want him gone then I I cant really be arsed to defend him. He hasnt done much to defend.
I'd rather our fanbase was not arguing for once.

I voted no for a few reasons, mainly because now is not the right time imo .
1 . A new manager at this point will not be able to sign any players to improve the squad as the window closes Monday
2 . He hasn't really had enough time to build his squad , this is still a ole/malky hybrid .
3 . Who would we appoint instead , what decent manager will come here knowing managers are not given any time or money.
4 . What manager with any respect for his career would work with tans obvious meddling in team affairs
5 . in all fairness he has had a lot of players injured or made not available for him to select .
6 . He should be given until the end of the season, we probably need 4/5 wins to guarantee safety I think we will do that easily.
I don't think he is the right Man to take us forward next season but we need a bit of stability , sacking him now would be the wrong move if he was going to go it should have been december giving the new guy time to add to the squad.
I would move him on In the summer and get an early replacement like Neil Warnock if he will come .

YEs needs to go for me. He has taken a squad of players that last season were playing in the premier league. A squad of players that contained more international players than it does now. He has eliminated any quality play from them. hoof it forward to the big guy - and then not pick the big guy!!!
Is he seriously trying to say that he is not capable of moulding a group of professional players in to a coherent effective side??? The football is crap. Lets ignore he wilfully ignored a load of other international players from day 1 with out even TRYING to fit them in. 2 of whom are now playing in 2 of the strongest leagues in the world. He has selected more or less the same players since he arrived, fiddling as rome burns by swapping fabio in and out of the side. The man who before Slade arrived was the first name on most peoples team sheet - a few defensive frailties yes but christ was he committed and 100% going forward and tracking back like a man posessed when he made a mistake. Jones is "lazy" yet scores goals ... so gets dropped. I dont think he has picked our strongest 11 in their strongest formation since day 1.
I hear people say we got league 1 quality etc .... yep I see where you are coming from ... but look at Nigel Clough and Sheffield Utd. They are league 1 and took the game to spurs without resorting to wellying in forward at every chance.
Slade took a squad over that had MORE quality than he could have had before. Sod bringing in a grafter from a lower league. Show your mettle by making those players PLAY. They are capable of it.
I actually understand and agree with Vincent Tans desire to cut the wage bill down. It is sensible and will lead to longer term sustainability but that doesnt excuse the tripe being served up on the pitch.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and hoping for a different result. For that reason I think slade is insane.
I also watch rugby and I know a club that was getting thumped every week heavily from the start. There was a change of coaches early on but instead of moaning that the players werent his and he wasnt shopping in harrods do you know what the head coach did? Worked with the players already there and made them better. Consequently instead of being relegation certainties they are now climbing the table and the squad is tightly knit playing for one and other. A couple of players have since been filtered in to add strength (not like for like or like for lesser!) but the bulk of the side was assembled by the previous coaching regime. Slade is a professional coach he should be able to coach what is in front of him because changing 11 players because they arent his players is ridiculous.

He has to go, but unfortunately he is Tan's appointment and Tan's yes man. He will probably be here to take us down and we will have to suffer dire football for a while yet.
I am amzed that there are actually 4 votes, so far, not to sack Slade!!!

Well look at the squad
The ones he wasn't allowed to play ( supposedly )
Matts dahlei , Ravel Morrison , Juan cala , Javi guerra , Fabio ? ,
Bruno Manga - missing for a month due to African cup of nations
Injuries :
Pilkington - 2/3 months still not available
Turner - injured when he arrived , came back for 2/3 months now out for the season
MAYNARD - out long term and injury prone
Dikachoi - out for the season
Marshall - out for over a month and still not available
Macheda - persistent hamstring problems not allowing him a run of games to get fit
Adeyemi - out for 4 weeks around November
Mason - back from loan , out until March
Forced to sell some to reduce wage bill :
Brayford - our best full back
That is a big chunk of a very decent squad to lose

Out of his depth, but not helped by having an assistant who would struggle to manage a team in Cardiff & District League. I wonder if things could have been different if Slade could select a good experienced no.2
Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:21 pm
no. give him a chance. at least let him sign his own players. he played right way on weekend. 4231 suits us. just derby was far to strong.
i blame tan for the clearout
Sun Feb 01, 2015 4:40 pm
He's had a transfer window, I'm not impressed. He still not addressing the issue of midfield. He changes like for like players but doesn't change his tactics or style of play.
There is no way in the world Malone is better than fabio or Declan John IMO, He still plays with whitts and Gunnar in the middle which does not work yet he continues with it, He goes on about energy and drops adeyemi who has been full of it lately and the only player to really be due any credit for his workrate.
The guy is clueless and only knows the lower leagues. He should go back there and take his park football with him.

Number 6 are you basing that on our current run of form because we haven't even come close to winning and don't look anything like turning it around
