Is Slade unsackable?

Sat Jan 31, 2015 10:01 pm

Is he unsackable as he's Tan's man, and he's on a low wage which is what Tan wants?

Are results irrelevant to his job being safe or not?

He has to go now, not later!

I don't think so.

Yes, he is Tan's man but even he will run out of patience soon.

Tan must have quite a lot of patience if he's still here!

Tan has never been apposed to change as shown with the rebrand and the number of ceos we have had.

I ask this question again, is he unsackable due to being 'Tan's man'

Ole was given far less time than this this season before he got sacked, while Slade has a far worse record, and we're playing 10x worse.. How long can it go on?

He fits the job description. On pretty low salary, prepared to do the dirty work offloading high earners and take all the flak.
I believe Tan is just going to let the club tick over now and things will stay pretty much status quo, so Slade's job is fairly secure atm imo although a dip into the bottom 3 could alter things slightly.
Who would be daft enough to take his place under the current circumstances anyway? Tan knows that candidates would be pretty thin on the ground so Slade is best current option.

I have an inkling tan wants us down as a "told you so"....

I think if the club want to see decent crowds then Slade has to go. He is killing the atmosphere, crowds because we are playing abysmal dire football EVERY game! He makes Ole look like a fantastic manager.

I honestly don't think Tan gives a shit about what standard we are playing at. He wanted to cut his losses, make the club more appealing to a potential buyer and take the parachute payments to cover any debt. He'd rather go down with Slade on the cheap than hire a more expensive manager and stay up, in my opinion.

Tan goes through staff like I've gone through accounts on here. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Ole didn´t get sacked, did he? Actually, no one really knows (did Tan make changes he knew Ole would never agree to, or was he actually prepared to give him more time under new conditions?)

My guess would be that Slade won´t be sacked until our league position makes Tan panic. Another month, perhaps.

This is my worry, will tan want to show he got it wrong.....again! Think it's time he gets rid of the board and brings in better footballing ppl

i said this at least a month ago - ( IMO ) TAN will not sack Slade as he was his choice ...along with all the digs he had about the last 2 mangers.

If Slade goes he will resign or be made to resign ( with his contract paid up ) .

Surely Tan will pull the trigger if we get deeper in trouble.

i think he will ask him to resign and save face, along with paying him out of his contract.
Tan is a man who will not say he is wrong - But does listen to others when it suits him ;)

Then he might listen to Dalman who wants Slade out.

He was brought in to cut the wages, ship people out and bring in players of a championship level on far less money. The only thing he's done well is bring in some decent players, Malone aside, and I'm very happy he got Eoin in.

But, he is a useless manager! He's done what he had to do, and he's failing on keeping us up! Perfect time to sack him!

If we lose to Blackburn then i can see no way back for Slade.

He should be gone now! 1 more game for him is just one more chance to get points!

The next game really is make or break for Slade.

It's crazy but I really cannot see why ?! The business model is un-sellable in it's current state...

He said the last 2 games are must win, after Blackburn is a bit late to sack him

I'm sure Tan will wriggle out of it saying it was Glenn Roeder's fault not his....
