They were all on excellent contracts for the championship, proven by how hard it's been to move players on. It isn't all about the fees you pay.

Spot on !! People forget the shambles Malky inherited once Jones' loan players went back to their clubs and left us with a massive rebuilding programme. Yes he had money and faults but time will show Malky's time as Manager to be the best City in living memory.

Yes he is, of course we pay wages and signing on fees, but the point is he was working on a tight budget before Tan gave him a few bob the following season, oh and guess what we went up, and would still be there now if he was still in charge

Our budget now is much less than what Malky had.

I would say what Dave Jones achieved with us with what he had to deal with is better than what Malky achieved in 2 and a half years with us
