I thought he was worth us holding onto at the time.

He seemed to have all of the right attributes to make it - pace, strength and a decent touch and shot. While he didn't set the world alight for us I thought he had enough about him to keep for a few seasons to see how he developed, maybe sending him on loan. He had a super attitude and never moaned about being dropped or subbed. Never let us down and seemed to learn quickly.

Listen, he wasn't great for us. Did a job sometimes but at other times was a headless chicken.

ALF was a smashing player at Reading but it hasn't worked our here for him hence the loan
