WBA have just signed Callum McMananam which could pave the way for us now! :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

If we sign him I'll eat my work boots

I could only see a loan being possible, but there's no way he'll want to come to us. He will set his sights higher without a doubt

I actually think the opposite. It states we made contact, and now we know where we stand I.E how much they want us to pay, and also by the sounds on it they want a recall clause

Matt Jarvis, who cost West Ham over £10m when he signed from Wolves three-years ago is reportedly a target of Cardiff's.

The Mirror say that we've shown an interest in the 28-year-old, who has made just three-appearances for the Premier League outfit this season and is one of those that has been made aware that he is 'free to leave.'

If 'the right offer' comes in then West Ham will let him leave anyway.

That right offer, if it comes from us, isn't going to be anything other than a loan enquiry is it as you can't see us being prepared to pay out too much for the former England international could you!

West Brom were also being linked with him but have since move for Callum McManaman so this could give us a free run at the winger, who we would hope had a better impact at the Cardiff City Stadium than the last winger we had from West Ham, Ravel Morrison....

Matt Jarvis is set to stay at Upton Park despite Cardiff City’s attempts to take him to the club on loan.

The Hammers have reacted to stories linking him with the club making it clear that as things stand the winger will stay where he is.

A source told ClaretandHugh: “It’s correct that Cardiff have asked to take him but the terms aren’t good enough for us to do the deal.

“Cardiff want to pay half his wages but that made zero sense to us given that we could be left short on numbers at some stage.”

However should the Welsh club to come back with an improved offer a deal could still be done but that doesn’t look likely.

Jarvis would be the perfect fit for Russell Slade’s system. He’s got some traits but the two that stand out are his crossing and his pace, both of which are exactly what Slade’s system is about.
He is a lot better than Championship quality in my opinion but Cardiff are a club with ambitions to get back into the top flight so he may not have to wait too long before he’s back in the top flight.
