WBA have now also showed interest in Matt Jarvis.
Looks unlikely Jarvis will join Cardiff City
Matt Jarvis wanted by Cardiff after falling out of favour at Upton Park.
Tuesday 27th Jan 2015.
Winger signed from Wolves in a £10.75m deal three years ago has made just six appearances this season and could be bound for the Championship.
Cardiff have made an approach to West Ham for winger Matt Jarvis.
The 28-year-old wide man was signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a £10.75million deal three years ago. He has two and a half years remaining on his contract at Upton Park.
He has fallen out of favour with boss Sam Allardyce, however, and has made just six appearances so far this season.
It is understood that the Irons would be prepared to allow Jarvis to leave the club if they were to get the right offer.
The winger has also been a target for West Brom boss Tony Pulis, but he has since moved for the cheaper Callum McManaman at Wigan.
West Ham are in the process of offloading a number of fringe players in an attempt to free up space on their wage bill to land Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Would be a good signing but won't come cheap?

Can't see that happening but would be pleased.

Unless the right offer was a loan Ian

WTF????
were selling the team from under our feet to save money (so they say) and then we go for a high price player ???
Tue Jan 27, 2015 9:58 pm
Makes a lot more sense than Huth , who will go to a Premiership club anyway. A loan deal would be fine and he's a really good winger.
Tue Jan 27, 2015 9:59 pm
He seems to be a player who reacts well to being at a new club but goes off the boil after a year or two. A loan deal with an option to buy could be the answer.

IF true then what a signing he would be, just on loan would be class. A couple of seasons back you would go a long way to find a winger that could put a better ball into the box than this guy. A proper old fashioned winger that gets past his man and delivers a ball with quality.
IF we somehow get him we would need to play with genuine width to suit his game, with Pilkington, Noone and Harris as options on the other flank that's real quality we would have out wide. The only problem is, I havent seen any evidence of
Slade wanting to play with out and out wingers, time will tell I suppose.

know anything about this carl

His wages are probably the same as the shite we've got rid of
So a better investment than the circus signings of last few seasons

I hope this is true. Maybe after cutting 12 mill tan has outlined a budget for slade to now go and get a few players. Jarvis though I would have thought would be way above what we are looking at!

The club has got rid of the high earning dead wood they did'nt wont, I can see us getting someone like Jarvis , would be a great signing ,

Matt Jarvis on Cardiff radar as West Brom also ponder move for West Ham winger
Matt Jarvis is attracting interest from Cardiff City and West Brom

Cardiff City have made an ambitious move to take Matt Jarvis from West Ham.
The 28-year-old has been limited to just one Premier League start so far this season for the Hammers.
Jarvis has appeared a further four times but is way down the pecking order at Upton Park.
Bluebirds boss Russell Slade is already set to add Crystal Palace midfielder Stuart O’Keefe to his squad shortly.
And Slade is lining up a move for Jarvis, who is also attracting interest from West Brom manager Tony Pulis.

Mr Slade wants him (so do plenty of other managers) only chance is on loan.No more big purchases at ccfc under Mr Tan.

Would be a class signing!

WBA have now also showed interest in Matt Jarvis.

Does our club know what cost cutting means?
This month just keeps showing the thickos who support the club.
Not like we sold Daelhi and Brayford.. terminated contracts of Cala, Eikrem, Berget, Burgstaller and Kimbo to free up the wage bill.
Wed Jan 28, 2015 9:15 am
Would b a fantastic coup if we can get him and fend off reported interest from WBA
Wed Jan 28, 2015 9:49 am
I really rate this player. Seems a bit of a pie in the sky story. Would be a perfect loan player, don't think we could pay the 10 million if that is his price tag is.
Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:24 am
This is a signing that would exite me
Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:38 am
This story is complete bollocks. He's too good for us, and the style of football Slade seems intent on playing. This is just a smokescreen - where City make public their interest in good players like Jarvis and Robert Huth to keep the fans happy - then instead get sub-standard cheaper options. If Jarvis comes I'll be surprised.
Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:42 am
Spot on above, the only ones we have actually signed are the 1st division unwanted players, with the exception of O'keefe who was bottom level premiership unwanted..........
Wed Jan 28, 2015 3:13 pm
Well I hope not many believed this bullshit rumour
