To be fair can't say Gabon deserved to lose, they had some good chances and defended fairly well.

Somehow ended 2-0 and im quite glad as we get our defender back, who we quite desperately need right now, hopefully should also be ready for Derby on sat.

Delighted that we will get Manga back as he will add some desperately needed class to the team. I worry though, that a loan deal is already in place for him to move back to France for the rest of the season.

Yes good news :thumbright:

But I hate to say it, I agree with the above. Tan will probably try and sell him now - arguably our best player.

Bruno Manga heads back to Cardiff City as his Gabon team are beaten in African Cup of Nations by Equatorial Guinea

Cardiff City's only representative at the African Cup of Nations is heading home after his Gabon team were shocked by unfancied hosts Equatorial Guinea

Bruno Manga will head back to Cardiff City after his African Cup of Nations dream was ended by hosts Equatorial Guinea.

His Gabon team went into the last round of matches only needing a draw against the lowest ranked team in the competition but lost 2-0, sparking scenes of joy in Bata.

Bluebirds centre back Manga played the entire 90 minutes and looked solid but was devastated as his fancied team went out of the competition in the group stage.

In the other game in the group, Congo beat Burkina Faso 2-1 to win the group ahead of the hosts.

Cardiff City play Derby County at home on Saturday but it is yet to be seen whether the 26-year-old will be back in time.

I think he'll be here until the summer & will probably look to get out himself. He's used to playing decent football on the floor & will probably become pretty disillusioned at everybody here wacking the ball away.

Good news as he is a top player.

To be honest im not to bothered who stays or goes as they will all struggle under Slade. Im just hoping the cost cutting is going well and a new manager can start to rebuild soon.
