Slade-OMG

Sun Jan 25, 2015 5:07 pm

“They put us on the back foot and we found it difficult to string two passes together under that pressure. I’m the manager and I take all the responsibility for players not performing to the levels required. We were devoid of energy and ideas in the second period. It was probably the most disappointing 45 minutes since I’ve been here.

“I would probably have walked out myself if I’d been in the crowd in the second-half.

Russell Slade looks on as Cardiff City crash out of the FA Cup
"It was dire from our point of view. But there will be ups and downs, but this was a bad day for us. It looks like we have taken a step in the wrong direction and I accept that. It’s important as a group now we unite and be strong and face the criticism and deal with it.”

what a load of cobblers TAXI ! sooner the better shit at orient and now ruined our club with the help of Tan

Slade was hardly shit at Orient. 30 free transfers to get Orient within a penalty shootout of the Championship was an unbelievable achievement. But what can Slade currently do about our squad he's inherited letting him down? I've always said Slade (or any other manager) will need a minimum of 3 transfer windows to transform our gutless squad of egos living off their past reputations into a hungry, hard working squad of characters with the correct professionalism and attitude required to succeed. Slade's only 2 signings so far are proving to be good acquisitions. Slade (or anyone else) needs time to sort out the mess Ole has created. Slade has been put in an impossible position, being told my Tan not play certain players and having to replace all his best players being sold and released with peanuts.

We are now back in blue and we are now at a period where we have to cash in on our assets, replace them cheaply to reduce our debt and get our club on a more sound financial footing, while maintaining our status as a Championship club. No more big money purchases, Slade's job will be to bring in bargain basement players with the hunger and attitude to succeed and run theirselves into the ground for our club. This is something Slade has proven he excels at with the job he did at Orient and I look forward to seeing what other bargains Slade can bring in now Brayford, Kim and Le Fondre have been shipped out. This is the situation we are in, like it or lump it. Time to support Slade and the team as slagging them all off isn't going to do us any favours!

Hang on didn't Slade also leave orient in the relegation places?

He Was about to be sacked was shit then and shit now end off - not a championship manager - fitness levels are of a park side he's been at club long enough to of sorted that out now

:bluescarf: IMO - results don't lie fook all this bringing hunger players that can't get games at their present clubs - but I hope I'm wrong I really do and will be man enough to apologise if I'm wrong but while I'm seeing such poor football week in week out I will express my feelings :bluescarf: and express them I will as slade famous saying ( I didn't see that coming)

The poor quality of play over 90mins week in week out and that the fact he has no influence over players to lift their spirits and get them fighting as a unit when so many coming and going - team changes like tyres on a Grand Prix race track - which do you not understand ?

Re: Slade-OMG

On a positive note lets hope we're all proved wrong and all the old players gone and new in are the changes we need to see a team playing as a unit for the last period of the season and stay well above relegation and get the fans of their seats with some excitement during a full 90 mins each and every game win or lose not much to ask is it ! :bluescarf:

Fed up of all these jumped up plastics on here

Slade is shit simple as and has to do the right thing and go now

Management is about tactics and motivation. Slade can't motivate and tactic is hoof ball. He needs to go ASAP

Re: Slade-OMG

It's not being negative or disrespectful to the club in anyway -

the results and football being played are clearly what is of concern to each paying fan not customer

The Standard is far to poor and unacceptable

we as fans don't want to be leaving matches early week in week out - feeling down I

The booing I do not agree with but you can't keep turning up hoping the players will do the same
it wears you down and most loyal supporters are feeling the same -

that's what we have inherited at present poor tactics and play lasting 20 mins out of 90

Re: Slade-OMG

Russell Slade is like the Dr.Who of football managers. He's simply way ahead of his time ! I mean, how many other teams out there in the footballing world play his revolutionary "pass and stop" game ?

Listen, it's simple really, whilst other teams stupidly get totally knackered with their "pass and move" nonsense, stupidly supporting each other up and down the field for 90 mins, OUR players, especially our midfielders, are always as fresh as daisy's at the end of a match ! This can only be good for our players can't it, as they wont be knackered for the next match !

C'mon, we have just been very, very unlucky to have had only 30% possession every game since Russ has been here !
Just think. when our luck changes, the opposition won't be having their usual 20 odd attempts on our goal every game - compared to our measly 3 or 4 on theirs, it'll be US having the 25 attempts on THEIR goal and when that happens we could even be League 2 champions !

But Slade has tried using different tactics, he's used 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 and 4-5-1 already. Slade is having all his best players offloaded and has been given the task of replacing them with peanuts. Maybe it's time to look towards the players who Slade has inherited and getting let down by. Maybe the majority of our spoilt fans need a reality check and realise the situation we are now in.

It's an impossible situation for Slade or any other manager at the moment and a massive turnaround in personnel is required. Slade has made 2 decent signings so far who have both proved good value; much better than some of the flops Ole has brought in for millions who continually let Slade down. It's not all Slade's fault but it's typical of Cardiff fans always having to unreasonably turn on someone and have a good moan.

Whatever tactics Slade uses, it's going to be the wrong tactics to most of you. It's never going to work with our current crop of players, as our current crop of players lack the desire, attitude, professionalism and ability to succeed at this level.

Mallo you are right. I also agree with Gareth (motivation IS the manager's job).

I've been as patient as possible (wanted him out before Xmas but went with the flow hoping for an upturn). Enough is enough.
