Paid 3 million for kimbo, gave him away for free

Sun Jan 25, 2015 1:29 pm

Wow, that's bad business. Nobody on the continent or in the championship would take a punt on him?
Was he a high earner or just two much of a footballer for slade?
I don't buy the rubbish about the high earners being gone.
Gunnar and noone makes more money than daehli ever did.
Whitts and jones are two of the highest earners in the squad.
Manga certainly one of the highest earners.
It really comes down to slade and his priorities.

We have given most of our players away. We seem to be very poor when it comes to transfer dealings. Look at some of the other players who have gone on frees and the quality players that have gone have been for small fees.

There was a thread yesterday regarding Le Fondre going to our potential relegation rivals Bolton on loan whereby City would be paying half of his wages. He could save Bolton and help relegate us. Absolute madness if true.

You think it's all about slade. Kimbo sitting on 25k a week who couldn't get a game weekly for any of the last two managers let alone slade tells me summit was not rite. Cancelled his contract so he could get another club along with many other players so far who didn't feature weekly. that's a fortune in wagesp saved and makes the player easier to find a club with no transfer fee on them. The fair play rules will play a big part soon so loads of clubs will be doing the same.

Look I am not saying he's a world beater, but surely you could find a club for him in Europe or
The championship?
As for what game he owned. Which city player last owned a game?
Kimbo had a good run at the end of our promotion season, he had some good individual games at the beginning of the pl season like against man united, he is no worse than noone in that respect.
He's just fallen out of favour whereas noone, Gunnar and a few others evidently get endless opportunites to "find form".

There was talk of celtic- If he fancied an even more physical league, do you believe Celtic wanted to gamble £1.2 million a year salary on him.

Not sure how he arrived with us, but the south east Asia focus at that time someone thought it was a good deal.

Remember some on here thought he would go for records

He was never given a chance under slade. It was one poor game and Banished to the dvp forever. Macheda played 10 bad games still in the squad.
As for what people in here say, they also said gestede ,another one we gave away for free, would never amount to nothing...

How the hell we get rid of Macheda ???????

Too many players not given a chance, but we don't know what going on in the back ground.

Tan bought verijonka and Kimbo and personally appointed Slade......Great CV

The same way we got rid of cala, eikrem, Berget and kimbo I expect. Cancel his contract. That's my point, we keep one of our worst players like Macheda and sell someone like daehli. That's all on slade, unless someone thinks tan has a personal vendetta against little daehli. kimbo at least tried when he was on the pitch, he's not lazy, has a good attitude and he's much more skill full than Macheda. You don't know that the next club won't unlock his potential. Macheda on the other hand failed at multiple clubs, it's a pattern, with kimbo it's the first club he failed at, his rep isn't that bad.
