Looks like most, including myself are content to see us 'balance the books' and try to create a sustainable club. Because end of the day the day that's what we all want, a stable club. But why has this just happened so suddenly and not in the summer, why now?
In the summer Ole was, in championship terms given an arsenal of money to assemble 'the best championship squad ever' (bullshit). And it was the largest and most expensive championship squad city have ever had.
Then just months later, coincidentally as pressure is piling on for a change to blue, we hire a budget manager who's ordered to sell anyone he can to recoup money, release any high earners with immediate affect and change us back blue to protect there main revenue streams.
Now I can't honestly believe that the genius's in charge of our clubs finances, have rolled out of bed one morning looked at our accounts and thought oh shit we better sort this mess out. Tans obviously had a change of heart/game plan. Let's be fair it hasn't exactly been a progressive thing, it's been more like throwing a grenade in the changing room and just keeping whoever survives.
But why all of a sudden?
is it because we won the rebrand war and he's bitter?
Is it because it's all part of a plan to sell us?
Or, is it because he genuinely loves this club and wants to see us succeed and realised his wrongs in the past few years?
