What went wrong?
There again seemed to be a lack of urgency and real desire before Reading’s second goal with two minutes of regular time left. Only after that did Cardiff look up for getting at the Royals with real intensity.
Performances are flat. Their first half display was mundane and the second half was even worse.
City were probably just the better side before half-time, but they could not maintain that level. Reading improved, Cardiff faded and lost.
It is up to Slade and his coaching staff to lift their players and get the best out of this group, but it’s too flat. Where is the leadership? Where is the inspiration?
Slade, the coaches and the players must start giving supporters something to cheer.
How did the fans react?
Those I spoke to seemed resigned to another drab day at the stadium. Which says everything, really.
They want something to cheer, something to talk about in the pub.
Apart from Jones’ goal, a powerful header from Whittingham’s free-kick, there was almost nothing.
Reading had most of the possession and that happens far too often these days.
City supporters don’t sing and chant with their usual passion. Away fans were even taking the rise by chanting ‘Shall we sing a song for you’.
The players have to inspire their supporters. The team and fans can help each other, but they are not working together.
Supporters are not enjoying watching their team. That has to change. Slade has to offer more entertainment with his style.

I think we go to the games expecting to be disappointed, and not really expecting much more than a point if we are lucky. Can't expect much from a manager who was on the verge of being sacked by a league 1 club, or from an assistant who would probably be better off coaching Porth or Pontypridd, which would me more suited to his style of football.

SLADE OUT - TAN OUT
Sun Jan 25, 2015 4:05 pm
The blue was a surprise, but the resilience has gone......
I am comfortably numb to our performances, get through to the summer then regroup....
I wish Tan would tell us what the plans are though....
Is it true the great and the good asked him to come back in the fan "consultation" ?

In my opinion there is a general malaise creeping over every aspect of the club from the owner, manager, players and fans.
When I was walking past the main entrance at about 2.30 yesterday I couldn't believe seeing Matt Connolly walking into the players entrance. Having already seen on the internet that he was on the bench I was absolutely gobsmacked that a player could apparently turn up when he felt like it. Who is checking on the players pre match preperation, meals and drinks etc
When I got into the ground a few minutes later I could see the team were out doing thier pre match warm up and Connolly barely showed his face during the warm up. Reminded me of the DJ days when the players pretty much what they liked.
Tells me that we have major problems with the preperation of the team and I blame RS for that.

Yip, we are fed up. So much to moan about, but that doesn't really help.
Constructive thoughts ? RS has talked at length about changing the team so we can live within our budget and by and large most of us are with that, although it is common knowledge that if you want to meet a millionaire find a billionaire and persuade him to buy a football club.
So constructively we do need to have some idea of what the future holds before we renew. Right now I'm not 100% sure that there's little else that VT is working on other than reducing his debt from a combination of the SKY balloon payments and wage bill/ player sell offs
It would be nice to see Dalman come out with a statement of intent so we can make some informed decisions. Most of us would be happy with a team with spirit and fight, and whilst we have good examples of teams doing it on a shoestring, VT needs to be honest with us regarding his aspirations for the club, and that includes the management as right now the signs are not exactly encouraging. Fed up fans will vote with their wallets

This is what a broken club looks like.
Players going through the motions.
Owner absent.
A puppet Manager out of his depth.
Massive debts.
Fire sale of players.
No footballing philosophy.
Attendances collapsing.
Fans apathetic.
Results poor.
Tan is destroying the club, but who the hell would buy him out?

No philosophy at ccfc each manager since dj wants his own way of playing .the result lots of players in and out. The worst was malky defensive organised then half way through a season ole comes in scraps that goes all out attack well you cant do that it dont work.
Now we gone full circle back to the dj style of play 442 problem is dj was good at it slade is flagin.
No manager has been able to improve what players they inherited instead its outs and ins to many players moving in both directions.
The strange ones are le fondre to bolton are rivals in the league and by the way lennon has em improving and looking solid.dahli strange kimbo well we could should of had money for him. Brayford didn't want to be her did he.
Lost of strange ins and outs what if le fondre keeps Bolton up we go down and city pay half his wages.
The main problem for me is the philosophy of how we play is missing and a manager should be appointed then to suit that philosophy you then get more stability and a direction with clear playing style.
We are miles off and it shows big time slade has to have a chance since its his team now but I never thought his appointment was a wise one given the more experienced management team s available a the time it was odd.
I can't see slade being a successful manager for us from what ive seen so far.
Great having the blue back it really is but worrying times on the field brought on by the man who strangely brought slade here but if slade is abviously wrong then better to change him now to try and at least get us more organised hard to beat with a tempo going forward which is so abviously missing big time.
