Those who think slade plays route one need spectacles

We're not playing route one we are playing route nothing. As awful as it would be to watch, we would actually have more success by hoofing it every time to revell and kj and getting around them for second ball. What we play isn't route one, we have absolutely no game plan or any idea. Slade out.

Sad but true. We have no style or plan whatsoever, or if we have then the players are failing to carry it out time after time after time. The only possible pattern I can see is trying to get something from set plays but surely that can't be Slades only tactic.

What slade is trying to do is beyond me and not deserving to be called 'football'.

Yes there's a difference between route one football & just kicking it aimlessly up the pitch.

In the first half yesterday I watched a Reading forward break & Mallone do a good job sweeping up & taking the ball from the forwards feet. Good defending. He then had time to look around & lay it off but what did he do? He put his head down & hoofed the ball as hard as he could upfield. Gunnarsson did exactly the same second half when the ball fell to him when he had a bit of time & space.

Embarrassing & this sums it up for me. This sort of football must come under instructions from Slade.

Yep I remember both times, it's garbage and worst football I seen since pre promotion side to championship. Dire.

I know it was only Colchester, but 'Noddy' Slade learnt nothing from that game. In other words, play 5 in midfield with Whitts given freedom ; don't play Gunnars; give Ralls and Adeyemi a chance to play together. Above all, play it mostly on the deck. We did this and it was promising. Jones and Revell up front together? Crazy!

It's very sad to watch, 90 mins of banging the ball long . Slade needs to go ,
