its hard for me to say it but slade has to go

Sat Jan 24, 2015 7:56 pm

any one who knows me will tell you I fully support and back our managers as long as I can .
last night some one asked me about the city and would we lose again today ,
I said wait and see, we will win comfortably ,as the pressure would be off our under performing players ,and fully believed that would allow our players to relax and put a performance in today , I argued the case for Russell slade to be given the rest of this season ,especially with the task of reducing the squad size and the wage bill being his main remit for this season.
sadly after todays shocking display how wrong I was ,I now believe he has lost the dressing room ,our players are not prepared to put in a shift for him ,maybe they have no respect for him and his methods .
if I was one of our so called better players ,I would not be happy to see our squad being ripped apart ,and hearing our manager saying we don't shop at harrods any more ,and see us bringing in players from lower leagues ( I have no problems with us putting our financial house in order ) and am sure there are good players to be found ,but if I was a player being asked to come to Cardiff I would wonder if I was being classed as a cheap option .
sorry Russell but most of your recent comments just prove your not upto the championship level and niether is your management .
you don't seem to be able to motivate or make changes during the game ,for what its worth I think you should have been (insisted )allowed to bring in your own coaches / staff ,but you were not strong enough to stand up to tan ,and that is your own fault .
imo I think you should go now and we should give your job to craig bellamy for the rest of this season as im sure he could not do any worse and his motivational nature would at least keep us up this season , then next season we should bring in some football minded back room / upstairs people to assist him .
our only chance of getting tan out is if our debt can be brought down to a minimum, our costs of running our club become less than our income ,and this must be done while we still have at least a years parachute payments left ,to enable a new owner to see the potential . :bluescarf:

its got nothing to do with love ffs
I allways try to defend our players and manager as long as I can
I gave up on malky months before he went
I still think ole needed more time
but slade seems totally bereft of what to do :bluescarf:

Correct, but sometimes there are situations which are indefensible! We have had too many unfortunately :bluescarf:

In fairness to Slade this is a very unusual situation.

If it is true Slade has been ordered to reduce the bill then I would say all the players must be worried. Well those that have been on the wage bill for a while. I have work at places where guys have been sacked and it has an effect on you. Even if the sacking even meant getting rid of the trouble maker it still hackled you. No it cannot be a nice place to work at .

I suppose we must wait until Slave has his own squad now that fits the clubs criteria. Next season we should get that.

Why would they be worried Ian. They can only get rid of players if they want to leave for another club or they have to pay them off in full. Not the same as with normal jobs.

The same people saying Malone and Revell are looking decent signings are the same people slagging Slade off. You couldn't make it up! Slade came in and was instantly told by Tan not to play Daehli, Guerra etc because he wanted to sell them. Now some of our other key players are being sold and Slade is having to replace them on peanuts! No manager could do much better at the moment. Slade has been put in an impossible position and all we can do is get behind him and the team, as slagging them all off isn't going to do us any favours!

Agree with everything,he has to go.
I was all for giving him a chance,I don't usually sit near the dug out but I did yesterday and as the game was sh## I watched Slade,he didn't have a clue the people around me were making more sense and seeing what was going to happen ,he just stood there like a rabbit in the headlights .
All the gear no idea,he's got to go before its too late.
