Rant......

Don't normally post rants, I normally keep them to myself while being secretly fuming, but watching today's completely clueless, inept performance tipped me over the edge.

Firstly, Slade, Margetson, Young, Gabbs....JUST f**k OFF OUT OF THE CLUB POST HASTE. I was willing to give you a chance knowing Tan had given you a very difficult job to balance the books by clearing out the big earners. However, you've all had ample time to come up with a formation or strategy that even if you couldn't make us easy on the eye then at least make us hard to breakdown.

Well lads, you've failed BIG TIME.

The last couple of months football - if you can call it that - is by far the worst I've seen in a blue/red shirt in over 20 years of going. And yes, even when we were playing in the basement it wasn't great in the slightest but at least the lads always seemed to give a shit and play for the manager. This current shower clearly don't give two shits about you all. And who can blame them? Slade, you've got over 700 games management in the lower tiers - we now know why you've never made the step up. And Young..you were sacked by Port Talbot FFS (no wonder Brayford told you to f**k Off when you were barking orders at him the other week - clearly seen & heard by the majority of the Grandstand.)

Teams are walking through the middle of us week after week - yes that's right - through the middle. They don't even have to pull us out wide to get around the back of us, they just look up and think "f**k it - there's only Gunnar & Whitts in front of us, and then once we've ghosted past them there's Morrison to negotiate!"

We've forgotten how to keep the ball, every week the possession stats are heavily in the opposition's favour. How are we supposed to win games without the ball?

So if we can't go at teams then drop this archaic 4-4-2 and bring another man into the middle to at least match teams up and at least force the opposition to go wide?!?

The whole backroom staff are completely tactically inept and as Manager, Slade, you are at the forefront of it all. Constantly standing in the dugout with your arms folded smacks of a man who knows this. The fans know it, the players know it, and even though you'll never admit it, I think you know it too.

Secondly, you said earlier in the week "We're not shopping in Harrods anymore." When the f**k have Cardiff City EVER shopped at Harrods?!?! And before anyone says Caulker, Medel, £7.5m on Cornelius.....NONE of them will ever be in the Harrods shop window. Ever.

As I mentioned earlier it's common knowledge you have been given the task of off-loading the high earners in the club, and replacing them was always going to be tricky, HOWEVER replacing them with players who are lower Championship & League 1 quality inevitably means the team will head that way. You can't buy those standard of players and expect them to constantly play at a level that's clearly beyond them. There are some gems in all teams - but the fact you are buying players from clubs that are LOWER THAN WHERE WE ARE & are happy to let them leave says it all.

Lastly, the players need to shoulder a lot of the blame too. They are still employed by CCFC regardless whether they like their managers or not. If you constantly performed shit at your job you'd eventually be shown the door. If your saving grace is "my performance is shite because I'm following orders from my manager" then the manager should walk. So either the players are sticking to orders they don't agree with & the backroom staff are at fault, or the players are not playing to instructions, just playing shit and in that case they are at fault.

Either way it's gone on far too long.

It's all well and good going back to blue, only slightly increasing the season ticket prices, but if we are going to be constantly served up complete garbage week after f*cking week then attendances will sink faster than, well.....CCFC is (and currently CCFC is sinking at f*cking rate of knots.)

I heard Tan is balancing the books to recoup as much as he can as there's potential suitors to take the club off his hands in the offing.....well good luck with that, as currently you've got no chance!

CCFC is a large part of my life. Always has been, always will be, but this I can honestly say is the lowest I've ever felt watching this clueless crap. And I've seen a lot of clueless crap over the years.

Agree with all you say mate - I will miss several games while I am away inj Feb/March and after spending £800.00 on season tickets and car parking again this year, I am actually glad that I won't have to endure watching us during this time. Enduring is what it is now as there is no enjoyment anymore. Slade and Young should do the honourable thing before they drag us down any further.

I hate the attitude of 'oh we're cost cutting so playing shit should be the norm' - tell that to Bradford, Cambridge, etc. - all teams with far less quality than ours who have players who play with their hearts on their sleeves and are willing to put in a shift. I'm not angry that we're cutting back. I'm angry because those being left behind are not fighting for the cause. I honestly wouldn't mind shipping almost the lot of them and bringing in a bunch of hungry youngsters willing to prove themselves. Nobody is going to be angry about a team cutting back financially to be more stable. People do however have the right to be angry at the lack of commitment, desire and attitude of some of these players and the complete tactical ineptness of the man in charge. Cutting back is no excuse for the undesirable crap on display.

I agree - and when Ole was there at least we had (sorry can't remember the guy's name off the top of my head) but he was in charge of the Academy and was very highly regarded throughout Europe - he went and now the Academy is being run by a couple from Port Talbot.

I'm livid (as you can probably tell) - And Slade's just been interviewed saying that was the worst 45 minutes he's seen since he came. Russell I can correct you on that, the 2nd half was the worst 45 minutes since Boro, which was worse than the first 45 minutes against Norwich, which was the worst performance we'd seen since Watford...you starting to see a bit of a pattern here? If not I'll spell it out for you....

The well respected guy in charge of the academy was Dick Bate, and in coaching circles was\is renowned around the world as a leader in player\coach development. We was brought into the club by Malky through long standing links between the too. Another bit of MM's work that will be ignored.

Bate leaving the club is a massive backward step for our academy which is much weaker as a result. He was a huge selling point to potential youth players and also coaching staff the club is able to attract to the academy - which by the sounds of it is now recruiting staff via a "jobs for the boys" network.

Dick bate was a Howard wilkinson man

Had all the badges but I actually thought his training was very paint by numbers. There's a lot better coaches out there. And we have had a lot better academy staff in the past, just ask Southampton and England who have reaped the benefits of our staff

I personally know James rowberry I think he was the youngest in the uk to get his pro badge. Just because Jimmy doesn't have the playing background doesn't mean he won't be a good coach,

I don't know who you want in as coaches and why they will work, I think slade needs to choose his own team and be able to work with his own staff that he knows inside out not picked for him.

You are judging Young on his management at port talbot but he's not a manager at cardiff. Brian Kidd is known as a great coach but not a great manager, you could same the same as sammy lee, Steve kean etc

We have no idea on how gabbs Young and James are as coaches as its early days and we have no idea how they coach, plan and get on with the players so to call them out is diabolical

Very passionate outpouring from the OP and who can blame him.

Up until yesterday I was trying to defend RS just give him time, but he's had extra time, Fergie time and we are on penalties now. Slade needs to take the first one I'm afraid, but don't let it stop there. Let the whole team of advisors and coaches take one for the team.

Not my usual style of dealing with things but enough is enough.
