ONE RESULT COST FAN £44,000

Sat Jan 24, 2015 7:09 pm

Listening to Talksport in the car on my way home after the game had finished and a bookie was talking about the shocks in the cup today.

He said at half time in the Chelsea v Bradford, the Bantams were 450/1 to go on and win after being 2-0 down.

He then said that Chelsea were 1/100 at 2-0 and someone put £44,000 on them at those odds, I bet someone is absolutely tamping tonight

So we may be down after losing to Reading but think of that guy who lost £44k :o

Serves him right to be honest.

Rule No. 1 of any accumulator never bet on your own team or Cardiff City!! Helps if they are the same

1/100
so he would have won £10 for every £1000 bet, that's £440 he would've won if Chelsea went on to win for a stake of £44,000.Absolute stupid bet and deserved to lose.

I never bet on Cardiff or generally unreliable teams like us.

If he can afford to bet that amount of money, he should be able to afford to lose it.

Better interest than a bank.

a guy I used to work put an accumulator on shit loads of teams. Sure you'll remember Cardiff had broken records by winning the first ten home games of the season under mackay and were playing rock bottom Peterborough and we lost think it was 3-1. He would have won £65,000 if Cardiff come through they were the only team to let him down!

But it gets better... He's a massive Leeds fan  c*nt

Literally 1 in a 100 times that would happen. Many rich people use bets like that as better interest than a bank. Obviously occasionally doesn't come off.
