Cardiff City Football Club is pleased to confirm the signing of Lee Peltier from Huddersfield Town, subject to international clearance.
Having penned a deal until the summer of 2018, the defender becomes Russell Slade’s third signing of the January transfer window.
The former Huddersfield Skipper has a wealth of Championship experience, having previously played for Leeds United and Leicester City. He began his professional career with home club Liverpool in 2004, leaving Anfield four years later.
Speaking exclusively to Cardiff City Player, the 28 year old said: “The move came about quite quickly; my agent spoke to me early in the week and said Cardiff were interested and that made me want to talk to the Club.
“I’ve worked under the Gaffer before [at Yeovil] and he’s asked me to come into the Group and give it my all. At this stage of my career I’m looking for success and I think I can find that here.
“I’m really good mates with Anthony Pilkington having played with him at Huddersfield. I also know Nicky Maynard, Craig Noone and Sean Morrison so there are a few familiar faces here.
“I like to think I’m an outgoing person and I say things as I see them, so I’m looking forward to coming in now and contributing. Hopefully I can help my team-mates as much as they can help me.”

Nice to know he'll have a few mates then, wouldn't want him to be lonely

To be honest, I don't really know him as a player but he'll need all the luck in the world if he wants success at this shambles.

Neil Wixon, A reserve captain of Huddersfield Town and only played 11 times for Huddersfield Town.the Huddersfield Town fans couldn't wait to get shots of him.
But I believe everyone should be given a chance before Judging

So we have a struggling defence that is changing every week, and we move out the most conistant one of the four, and change it again
This is not good, two new fullbacks and all the centre halfs are being chopped and changed week in week out, clean sheets are few and far between, and we are regularly conceding three goals a game.
The basics are you find your best back four and keeper and let them develop an understanding ???????

What worries me is that hes essentially a centre back and cannot hold a regular place in the Huddersfield team.
Everyone deserves a chance though, welcome to Cardiff lee

Welcome to Cardiff Lee.
We play a lot of long balls by the way - hope you've brought a pair of heavy boots with you.
Don't worry about passing to a team mate though - that doesn't appear to be something we get involved with too much.

Not the greatest signing.

He is not a centre back but he can play there. He is a right back and that is his best position. Welcome Lee, to the soap opera that is Cardiff City Football Club. I myself think that he is a good signing and he WILL surprise a lot of fans, especially the ones who said that he was a bad player or the few who said that it is an underwhelming signing. Good luck Lee but i dont think u will need it as i know what type of player you are and how good u can be. If Neil Warnock was our manager then he would of signed Peltier too as he has had him at Leeds and he tried to sign him for Palace, Warnock knows how good he is and i would trust his judgement over a lot of other managers out there. In fact if Slade goes i would love to see Warnock here as he would sort this mess out. Plus, he has always had a little soft spot for us, as he has said on a few different occasions.
Bloooooobirds.

I think that he will become a fan favourite pretty quickly as he will work hard and give us 100% and give us a bit of steel that the others can learn from. Lee now you are a Bluebird show us what u got! You can stop our season sliding into Div 1.

Club has desperately needed a central midfield player all season. Obviously that means we have three signings in other positions.
Let's definitely play Gunnar and Whitts against Derby that won't be detrimental at all.

Pretty underwhelmed by this signing, Huddersfield fans in the main don't seem that upset to see him go. Still, will get behind him, hope he proves me and them wrong.
