Hear hear Steve, the thing is people think it's all slades idea when in fact it's tan cutting the cloth to make money back and he gets what he's given budget wise and is trying to sort that.

As a Football club, the time has finally come where we have to "cut our cloth", in order to survive long term. Basic Economics dictates this fact,,,least of all, our obligations to the financial "fair play" rules.

That's how it is Now, & that's the way its going to be in the foreseeable future, IMO.

Ole and malky players, but the managers were paying the wages they were allowed To pay.

Reducing the wage bill is a good thing it spiralled out of control.

Slade however is here to manage players and I've seen no evidence of seeing him do that welL.

two of the highest salaries are in central midfield, they have a 'right' to play every week by the looks of it but the pair of them are well past their sell by date!

I forgot to mention this in my earlier post. I fully understand the importance of economic prudency, however it was sheer bad advice To appoint Slade in the first place, & if ever any evidence was needed that Slade is totally & utterly out of his depth, then today was it!

I don't rate or like Slade as a manager hes been brought in to do a stop gap job for the club he would be there by end of season it's not in tan interest if he wants to sell up for us to be struggling in the lower end of the league :bluescarf:

I think we all know we had to off load some of the players, but to bring players thats only use to playing in lower league to me is crazy. Unless of course we don't give a dam about staying in the championship and don't really want to go up.

we have a manager that cant buy a win and you have to ask is he really up to it, and ask your self then, would a manager like Pulis have inspired the players we had to bring out the best in them. Also remember most of the players we had was playing in the prem last year, and we put on some real good performances up against top clubs.

Please tell me this thread is having a laugh? We're selling the "under performing dross" of Brayford, who has been our most consistent player this season, but keep playing Fabio, who as his performance showed today is categorised in the "under performing" tag. Noone is another of our most under performing players considering how much he's rated by fans, but he's not getting any stick. But then again, these fans who rate Noone also rated Dæhli, the boy who ran around in more circles than Stephen McPhail!

I agree about the one Arri but maybe not the other. We dont have enough midfield quality to substitute Gunnar
