Hyland NOT Signing Now!?!?!?

Fri Jan 23, 2015 12:40 pm

I thought it was just a matter of days away from him signing a permanent deal? It is a big mistake, if we do not sign him, in my opinion. Not only is the the defensive anchor man that we require but he is also a pretty good footballer. Who was the other player that was supposedly going to sign as well as Lee Peltier then???

I've seen mixed reviews on the guy. Some people have said he's class but then others say he's just another Dikgacoi. We desperately need a DM. What's Olofinjana up to these days? Only if we're shifting to a 5 man midfield though!

What are you basing your analysis of Hyland on? No doubt we need a strong midfielder, but if he's not impressed enough in training then he's not the right man.

We need a decent strong defensive midfielder yes, but not him if he can't show enough on a two week trial, we have enough lay bastards not prepared to work hard enough.......

I base my knowledge on him from watching Belgian football and also from seeing him play for the Trinidad & Tobago national side. Like i have said in a previous post about him, when another board member asked the same question as you. Due to ill health and due to me bein unable to leave my house because of numerous health problems, i watch a hell of a lot of football. Some on Sky, BT Sport and the majority on the Internet. I watch anywhere from 10-25 games a week and i watch mostly European football, from the French, Belgian, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc. leagues and sometimes South American and North American leagues. I have seen Hyland play at least 50 times over the past 5 years at Genk and when he was at Zulte Waregem. I know what type of player he is and that is why i wanted him to sign for us as he would have made that dm position is own. But, who knows the reason we did not sign him could have been because he had a better offer from another British team, cause i know Palace were interested in him. There are not many players in those European countries that i listed that i have not heard of or have seen play many, many times. Listen, i would gladly give watching all this football up if it meant that i was ABLE to work and even go out for a beer with a few if my mates, as these are things that i cannot do. I have very bad Physical problems and even more mental problems, which are the result of my Physical problems. I would love to be able bodied again, i would love to be who i used to be again, i would love to not be in so much constant pain that i am. I would just love to be, even just at 70% again. For nearly 16 years ive been like this and im only 34 years of age. Anyway, some day i intend to write a book about my health problems and write a book all about the Scouting of Football Players in Football, as i feel that both of the books, especially the book about my health and what ive been through, could be very helpful for people in my situation.
