PISSED OF WITH SLACKERS!

Fri Jan 23, 2015 11:05 am

It sounds like I mean our squad but I just wanted to have a rant about something!

I am pissed off with people that think the world owes them a living! In my veiw the following conditions do not qualify for time off work.

Depression (Works the best place for you! Why do you want to stay home and wallow in it! I have had it myself and sitting at home is madness!)
Back Pain (Don't take a bad back lieing down, the less you do the worse it gets!)
A Cold (Are you F@@@g kidding me!)
Sickness and Diarrhoea (There is a toilet in work isn't there! I have had IBS for years and never missed a day! As long as your not working with food your golden!)

People who have a one day sicky nearly every week should be sacked pretty rapid so someone who wants to work full weeks gets a shot at a job! It don't add up, and in my veiw if they are not shirking which they almost certainly bloody well are, they are not fit to work anyway!

These are the main ones used to fleece the system but there are many more. If you can sit down and push buttons you can work, this country is far to F@@@@ng soft! When I was 13 my dad had me rolling turf in all weathers for a fiver a day and it didn't do me any harm! :x

100 % agree. Same boys every week in work with me either ill or "on the sick." Piss take when there's people desperate for a job.

Unions need to get with the real world. All they do is create division. People are happy to conform and become a load of collective sheep, employed by the Unions to destroy personal progress and individuality. The unions dampen peoples prospects down, rather than improve them. But they'll get you a few grand in a law suit.

There is no way anyone should work with Diarrhoea or sickness.

And depression is something that cannot be judged as each individual is different. No one can put themselves in the shoes of someone else, so how can we criticise?.

But i have to agree. A lot of people get away with murder as employers hands are tied.

If it wasn't for unions my friend you would still be working for next to nothing with one day off a year in dangerous conditions alongside 10 year old kids.

your just ranting. health and safety laws exist to protect you as much as anyone else.

for some people, depression is a debilitating illness from which they struggle to even get out of bed, let alone function well enough to go to work. you are not a doctor, and you have no place to be telling people they should go to work when they physically cannot.

you may think workers should have less rights with regards to time off for health reasons but as it stands workers have few rights in this economy. wages are low and employees are being taken advantage of because of poor economic conditions.

That's why I said get with the real world. In past they have done a lot of good, a lot. They still do. But times have changed. They aren't needed as much any more which is shown in their desperate attempts to act important. Like forcing one of the most important cities in the world, London, to a standstill over a few jobs. However much you care about individuals jobs, doing that was a horrible way of going about it. Selfish is what it was.

Labour are all about being part of a collective. Without it they would be nothing, same as the unions.

In the modern world we should promote people to be individuals, striving for success rather than lumping them into the age old life of the unions.

Labour and the Unions go hand in hand and they really aren't 'for the people' as many make out. If people actually succeeded they would be out of business, which is why they try to force people into collective mediocrity.

imo

Re: PISSED OF WITH SLACKERS!

While I agree with you on people woh have a cold

Sickness and Diarrhea - f you have this you should not come to work until 24 hours AFTER your last bout (this isn't just me, that is health guidelines)

Depression - There is a lot of different ways people cope with depression, if your way is to get out and go to work then that's fine but it's not for everybody. Some people just can't face going outside and having to be near people.

Back pain - This all depends on what kind of back pain it is. I was in a car accident years ago and because of not taking any time off work to go to physio etc I can now hardly carry my little baby boy for more than ten m minutes. Also depends what kind of work you are in. An office job, yeah. you're sitting down all day, go to work. Any manual labour can be a killer

Unions not needed !!!! if there were no unions we would go backwards as far as employees rights are concerned.Do you think all the capitalist owners of this country gave the working class holidays and pay rises out of the goodness of their hearts. And now we have zero hours contracts and anti union laws.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. But if you think people that are off sick every other week are actually sick, to put it politely you are very much mistaken. Everyone else has to then work harder so they can take it easy! :x

I actually had a woman at a jobs fair ask me how many sick days they were entitled to!

For some people this is a neccessity. They don't want to be fired for taking too many sick days and for some people these are hard to control.

Invisible illnesses affect a large number of people. I am lucky in that I have an office job. If I had a job in manual labour or even in something where I was just on my feet for a long time (bar work etc) I would probably bee off work for 2 weeks or something a year, due to illness, instead of my current 1-2 if that.

As for the shits.Health and safety at work act states that you will not report for work with any infectious illness.

Re: PISSED OF WITH SLACKERS!

health and safety legislation sometimes goes too far, but it is there to benefit the wellbeing of employees and does a very good job of that. without it employers would have a free reign to exploit workers, and they would.

there would be uproar if people were forced to work when they had depression and diarrhoea and rightly so. you should be ashamed of the rubbish you are coming out with.

Of course I realise that there are slackers & a lot of them but you can't say that everyone with depression for example can go into work as it's better than moping about at home ffs.
Or people with a bad back? There's so many variables it's impossible to generalise as you seem to be doing.
