What is Tans plan for City ?

Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:36 pm

Watching what is going on at the club at the moment I am trying to see what Tan has in mind. Tan , as a successful businessman will have a plan and an outcome in place.
He has invested heavily in the club over the last few years and it has not gone well from his perspective.
It seems to me he rolled over too quickly to go back to blue and also the league had already been contacted before the meeting with the fans.
We are now buying committed players who from what I can see have no chance on taking us to the next level , but are probably cheap.
If you are looking to sell a business you usually make sure you maximise the profit by cutting back to the bare bones.
So my only conclusion is that Tan will be looking to off load as everything he has done points to this outcome.
Apologies for probably stating the obvious but am still in work and had some time to kill so be interested in your thoughts.
As a bluebird since 1970 I have to say being back in blue and struggling around the relegation zone is what I have endured for many of those years with committed if not very talented players. Looks like those days are returning . :old: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

He is looking to recoup most of his money and reduce the outgoings of players wages.
If it was my money. I would do the same.
Will be interesting to see how many fans renew their season tickets next year with the massive cost cutting taking place.
Our ground will be like a library but even quieter.

Burnley went up having spent next to nothing, they had the correct manager which we don't. Stripping or balancing the books? Makes no difference, these changes had to happen.

I think without doubt he wants to off load us , sooner rather than later :bluescarf:

No idea, I don't think he will sell us though, don't think anyone wants to buy us.

I think he will make us self sufficient and leave us ticking over. He has done this with other businesses.

In a couple of years could we be the 3rd best side in Wales? JB's streets ahead of us, County progressing well. :bluescarf:

He wants us to meet the financial fair play rule. And possibly sell us in the future

With the parachute payments over the next few years and the right manager the big prize is premiership football. Tan backed Ole at the beginning of the season financially to build a squad that should have done a Newcastle and romped a very average championship.
His change of stance since getting rid of Ole, including going back to blue, has been a huge turnaround. The philosophy now is tightly run by employing a very average manager and average players at a much lower cost.
In business this looks like a sure sign of building up your profits quickly to make your organisation more attractive to a purchaser and for you to get the best price.
I'm not itk, but I believe negotiations are probably already happening for this dramatic change in direction to happen.
